5th October 2004, I had a class with my fifth year students and I was teaching them about Patronuses.

"So, I want all of you to close your eyes and think of a happy memory." Just as I told my students, my three and a half year old daughter decided to disturb the class.

"Hello Mumma!" Alex said as she waved and smiled at me enthusiastically as she walked into the class causing the students to Awe at her.

Now, as much as I wanted to pick her up, squeeze her, pepper her face with kisses and tell her how much I love her, I was in the middle of a lesson.

"Al, you need to stop running from Madame Pomfrey. You know it frightens her when you run away." I told her with a small frown as I bent down to her level.

Her and Hazel may only be 3 and a half but they knew their way from the hospital wing (where Madame Pomfrey looked after them) to my classroom, the greenhouses and Hagrid's hut (He really did love them a lot).

"But I missed you, Mumma." She said sheepishly as she looked at her feet.

"Do you like leaving your sister alone?"

"Hazie went to the gweenhouse to see Dada."

They are your daughters after all, they're gonna do whatever they want.

"Can I stay hew Mumma? Pwees! I pwomise I'll stay quiet!" She said as she gave me her puppy eyes that her and Hazel had inherited from Neville.

"Please let her stay Professor!"

"Yes please let her Professor Potter!"

My students requested.

"So you can all get distracted from the lesson? Yeah right." I rolled my eyes.

"I mean looking at her does make us happy and we're learning about Patronuses...it only makes sense, don't you think, Professor?" Olivia Raine, one of my Hufflepuff students pointed out (I was currently teaching the Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors).
