Chapter 64 - Sirius Finds Out

24th December 2013, It was Christmas Eve and Anna's 17th Birthday. As per tradition, Eddy and Melanie threw a Christmas cum Birthday dinner party at their house.

Except, this year they also invited Anna's new boyfriend, Marcus Keller too. In the last two years, Anna had dated 3 guys, she seemed the happiest with Marcus.

I mean, I had scared away the other two boys because they weren't worthy of my Buttercup...don't tell her that. But Marcus was a good kid, I approve of him.

He's in her year, muggle-born, the Hufflepuff seeker, and Quidditch captain. He also has good grades, he's a prefect and he's incredibly sweet and kind. He isn't bad-looking either, quite the opposite actually. I know what you're thinking, he sounds like Cedric, I know, that's what I thought.

Anyways, we were having dinner in their backyard, there was me, Neville, the girls, Harry and Ginny and their family, Sirius and Remus, Melody and Luna, Tonks and Charlie, Draco and Blaise along with their 7-year-old son Scorpius, and of course, Marcus Keller.

Neville and I were sitting beside each other, Hazel was sitting on my left whereas Alex was sitting on Neville's right and Jane was on her right.

Meanwhile, Anna was sitting between her boyfriend and Eddy and Remus Jr. was sitting beside him.

"So, Marvin, what are your plans after graduating from Hogwarts?" Eddy asked the boy seriously as he had his arm wrapped protectively around Anna.

"Dad his name's Marcus, not Marvin." Anna rolled her eyes.

"Yeah same thing, Marcus-Marvin." He shrugged as his wife shook her head at him, "Anyways, back to my question, what are your plans?"

"Well, sir, I'm planning on becoming a healer, my mum's always had this dream of seeing me become a doctor...I mean, my whole family consists of doctors."

"Really?"

"Yeah,"

"So...Marcus, are you genuinely interested in becoming a healer, or are you just doing it because of your family history?" Draco asked him. "Don't get me wrong, I mean, it's great that you wanna be a healer, but it's a field that requires interest and passion," He added.

"Oh no, I am genuinely interested in medicine." The boy said seriously.

"You're really pretty..." Remus Jr said dreamily, looking somewhere around Anna.

"Thanks, Rem," Anna said to him sweetly.

"I wasn't talking to you, Anna...I was talking to Marcus." He deadpanned causing Teddy to snort loudly and Anna to glare at him.

"I-uh...Thanks I guess..." Marcus said with an awkward laugh as Remus Jr kept staring at him dreamily, meanwhile, I looked over at Scorpius, Remus' best friend looking grumpy...and jealous?

Another gay kid in the bag...

"Oh, all that career talk that reminds me, I have a present for ya' kiddo!" Harry said to get rid of the awkwardness as he pulled out an envelope from his coat and handed it to Anna.

She opened the envelope and her eyes went wide. I smiled inwardly, knowing well what was written on that paper.

"An Auror internship?" She asked Harry in shock.

"Your DADA Professor recommended you to us. Since you have top grades and are doing well in your practical classes, you show quite a lot of promise."

"That's great!" Melanie exclaimed.

"Oh my god! Thank you so much, Uncle Harry! You too Aunt Liz!" Anna said happily as she walk over to both of us and gave us a hug each as her parents smiled at her proudly.
