The news of the couple breaking up spread like a wildfire in their campus.

The two had always been the center of attention in their university along with their circle of friends. Seeing as how all of them look handsome and beautifully stunning, it would be more of a wonder if they weren't the talk of town.

The cause of their break-up was, however, unknown to the student body. Everyone became intrigued. The ex-couple easily became a hot topic for days even after their breakup.

Their close friends were the only ones who knew why the two had broken up. Chand had told them what he saw.

And upon knowing, all of them couldn't believe it.

Their whole squad already knew that the two were having some problems — all thanks to Chand's loose mouth every time he gets drunk during his late night drinking sessions with the boys.

However, seeing that Kali didn't even bother to refute any of his words, it only lead them to believe that everything Chand had claimed to be were all true.

Most of them were disappointed at what Kali had done to Chand. They hadn't expected her to do that to him, especially since she looked and acted like such an angel.

However, after seeing Chand becoming a mess after their breakup, they couldn't help but feel pity towards him and anger towards their friend who broke him.

Chand has been loyal and very trying in their relationship. They saw how happy he's been with her.

Well, maybe what they say is true? That the person who brings out the best in you can also bring out your worst.

But, of course, there were still some who stayed neutral.

"Okay, you should stop. That's already your fifth bottle," a guy, who's sitting beside Chand on their dining table, spoke. He was a few months younger than Chand.

"Declan, what d'you think did I do wrong? For her to cheat on me like that..." Chand slurred, his eyes were only halfway open as he tried his best to stay fully awake despite the dizzying feeling brought upon by the hard liquor.

Declan only shrugged at his question. Although they were all close, he wasn't the type of person to just butt-in on other people's business.

He respects everyone's privacy. But he had to admit, what Kali did to his friend was fucked up.

"Did Kali say anything? Did she try to explain anything to you?" The youngest among the three asked.

"What's the use of explaining Ellis, when he, himself, saw it firsthand?" Declan spoke, a sarcastic look plastered on his face.

"Well, maybe what he saw wasn't all of it?" Ellis reasoned out. He was one of their friends who stayed neutral.

"Yah! Why does it seem like you're on her side, Ellis?" The eldest among the three complained. The alcohol was making his mind irrational.

"I'm not. It isn't like that—"

"She cheated on me! I saw her!" Chand cut-off Ellis. He was already drunk and yet he chugged down another bottle of hard and bitter liquor.

It was the only way he came up with in order to forget about her, even for just one night. But seeing as how she's the only thing he seemed to talk about, it wasn't much of a plan now, was it?
