-.--.-..-.-...-"Vin!"
Looking over his shoulder, he saw Phoebe skipping as she tried to catchup with him.
"On the way to the library?" Phoebe asked an obvious question to the boy. Vin always like reading books and so did Phoebe. The two are very much alike in that field.
She'd often see him in the library with a thick book on both his hands as his head bent down a little while sitting on one of the soft armchairs and reading like there's no tomorrow.
Vin hummed in response to the girl.
"Mind if I come with you?"
"Not at all," Vin said. Phoebe's face brightened as she heard Vin.
The two had always shared the same table whenever they'd both go to the library and read. Today wasn't an exception as well.
As they sat at their usual spot, the two immediately dived down into their chosen reads.
After a while, a thought popped up inside Phoebe's mind. "By the way, Vin, thanks for sticking up with me during lunch," she shyly spoke.
The boy looked up from his book and smiled a little. "You told me to at least hear her side of the story before making an assumption. Although, she hasn't really said anything yet," he said.
Phoebe nodded with a frown on her face, "She hasn't spoken anything to me at all about what happened but I know she wouldn't do that."
Vin continued to look at Phoebe. He had long admired how kind the girl is. Always believing and trusting. So much so that sometimes he worries.
"I also know she wouldn't be able to do that," Vin spoke his mind.
The girl looked at him with shining eyes, deeply glad that there was another person among their circle of friends who also believed in her roommate.
"She's too in love with that old dude to be able to do it anyway," Vin grinned as Phoebe chuckled.
"That's true."
