"Here."

Chand looked up from his notebook. Vin was holding a medium-sized iced americano from one of Chand's favorite shops.

The eldest was about to accept it when Vin spoke, "It's from Kali."

Chand paused, his hand midair as he quickly contemplated whether he should accept it or not. It was the afternoon and he haven't had any coffee since morning.

What's more, he badly needed one if he wanted to survive the whole day without falling asleep until his last class. He sighed, "No thanks."

Vin shrugged his shoulders at the elder, "Whatever you say."

He also noticed that Vin have his own drink too. The younger noticed his stare, "It's called galaxy lemonade. Wanna try?"

Chand took a small sip from his drink, nodding a few times as the refreshing drink greeted his palette. It was a new taste, one he haven't tried before. "It's good, right?"

The eldest nodded in agreement. He wouldn't mind buying one for himself too.

"Kali bought it for me," Vin said.

His statement caused Chand to frown. He didn't like the idea of enjoying the drink's taste which his ex-girlfriend had purchased.

Kali had always been the type of person who knows her foods and drinks very well. Whenever the two would go on a date in the past, Kali was always the one who would try out new things that would pique her interest.

And her picks never seemed to go wrong. Chand also enjoyed it since he'd get to try out new things as he, himself, also loves food.

"You should have told me that before letting me take a sip."

"My bad," Vin had a lopsided grin as he saw Chand's irritated face.

The two were currently hanging out on one of the many outdoor spaces in their university. Only the two of them have a free period while the rest of their friends were attending their classes.

Chand sipped on his cold drink. It's been a while since he had a free time. Everyday has been so hectic that he hasn't been able to take a breather.

"What were you doing, by the way?" Vin asked as he saw Chand's notebook.

"Just scribbling down some words."

"Oh? I thought you stopped? Ever since... you know."

Chand looked at his friend with a little surprise. He knew that Vin was the most observant person among their circle of friends and that he's also the smartest. He just never thought that he'd know about it too.

"I know a lot of things. Also, we live in the same unit," Vin spoke after seeing Chand's slightly confused expression.

"I did but I'm trying to get back to it."

Chand smiled genuinely, one he hasn't done in such a long time ever since the two broke up. It was certainly a rare sight.
