While the sun glared viciously down unto the fine white sand, the cool saltwater and fresh wind made up for it. A few residents from the town could be seen leisurely strolling by the shoreline. A thin and wide blanket underneath as some of them were laying under the hot rays, sunbathing.

It was a bright and a good day, sunny and hot yet cool at the same time. A usual day in the middle of a summer season.

A few meters away from the crowd, a young man, all by himself, was sitting underneath a shade from a tree and was savoring the relaxing atmosphere.

He was writing something, his eyes concentrated on the notebook on his hand as the cool summer breeze softly blew on his electric blue hair.

A cute sharp bark from afar caught his ears, bringing him out from his thoughts, and caused him to look up from his notebook.

A fluffy white dog was running by the shoreline as it tried to chase a woman's figure. Once it caught her, it wagged its tail as fast as it can, wanting for it to be carried unto the woman's arms.

The sight caused the young man to smile unknowingly as he remembered another dog from a friend of his. It was also very friendly and would always welcome him whenever he and his other friends would visit. It would wag its tail just like how the dog he had just seen did.

Taking in a deep breath, the young man looked away from the scene and forced himself to stand up from where he was sitting. He figured it's already time for him to go back or else his family might actually leave him behind. He and his family are currently on a vacation since it's summer and just a few days before he'll officially be starting his first year in college.

The young man quickly kept his things and put it inside his drawstring backpack, all the while making sure that he didn't leave anything behind.

As he was about to leave the area, he felt his pocket vibrate. He immediately fished out his phone and saw the screen flashing a familiar name.

Mom

"Hello?" The young lad answered as he walked on a pedestrian crossing. There were only a few cars by the road, which wasn't the usual since it was summer and that place was supposed to be packed with tourists or people coming from the city.

"Chand? Where are you? We'll be leaving an hour from now. You should hurry up," his mother said on the other side of the phone.

"I just finished here, mom. I'm on my way there already," he answered. After speaking, he was about to end the call but then he heard another voice joining in on their conversation.
