"Congratulations, old man! You're finally one of us!"

The huge grin on Chand's face was immediately wiped off as soon as he heard the words from the short girl.

"We're just months apart, Chantal. Don't act as if you're not old too," Chand commented as he reached for the girl and decided to mess her hair.

"Thanks," he added.

Chantal protested at his action, "Stop it! You're ruining my hair. It took me hours to achieve this look."

"God, you guys never change. We've already graduated yet you still fight like tom and jerry," Declan remarked when he reached the two.

"I swear, sometimes I wonder how Kali even make the two of you to stop..." the tallest boy added.

"Kali is Kali. She just does," Chand answered with a proud smile.

The other two couldn't even find any words that could refute his remarks because they both know it was the truth. They don't know how Kali does it but she just could. "Oh! By the way, we've prepared a party for you at my house," Declan announced.

"Wow, you guys didn't have to though? I feel so touched," Chand put a hand on his chest, acting touched by their gesture.

Chantal eyed the eldest in disgust which immediately made Chand stop whatever he was doing. "No, seriously. Thanks, but I might come a little bit later. I still have to visit Kali," he said.

"That's okay. Make sure to send our greetings to her as well," Declan smiled at the eldest.

-.--.-..-.-...-

"Hello, love. It's been a while... I'm sorry I haven't been visiting for weeks, I got caught up with deadlines for the graduation. By the way, I finally did it," Chand chuckles as he adjusted himself and sat in-front Kali's headstone.

"Your man finally graduated. Although it took more time than the others, I finally did it. You should congratulate me when we see each other, okay? A congratulatory kiss would be good, I miss your kisses. In fact, I miss you."

Chand smiled sadly. He could feel the never ending growing emptiness in his heart. "How is it up there? Haah, fuck, I seriously miss you right now. Should I just go and follow you?"

He paused and thought about it for a minute.

"I'm kidding. You probably would've smacked me in the head if you heard that."

He sighed before he continued, "I'm doing better by the way. Although not so much, but getting there I guess."

"I hope I'll get to see you soon. Life's too boring without you here."

Another pause before he remembered something important that he wanted to share with her.

"Oh, also! I finished it. I wanted to sing it for you back then but it was still incomplete. Although, I changed everything after you... left. It took me more than two years since then because a lot of things happened. You know, the depression and stuff," pursing his lips, he forced a smile. Ever since Kali left him, he was never the same Chand that Kali and the others used to know. Too much happened that he, himself, couldn't even handle.

But he persisted. That's what Kali would've wanted him to do anyway. And he's always been a sucker for her. So, he'd do anything for her, even if that meant continuing to live his life without her presence anymore.
