"Alright, I'm gonna be dismissing you guys early today. But make sure to use the extra time to get together with your groups and come up with the topics for the group project, okay?"

Groans were heard from different directions as their professor left the room. They were already in the middle of the semester and that only meant more projects to be done.

However that didn't hinder Chand from feeling relief after finally hearing the word 'dismiss'. He was about to leave the room but a feminine voice had stopped him to do so.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Chand paused on his way. Looking back, he saw one of the members of the group he was assigned to speaking to him.

"Home?" He faked a smile and shrugged causing the other to shortly laugh at him.

"C'mon, Jasper wants to meet with all of the members."

Chand sighed and followed. He knew he couldn't say no if it's that guy. Jasper's a committee in the student council. This just means one thing — if he ever get on his bad side, he'd definitely be receiving a call from his mother.

"Thanks for bringing him here, Casey," Jasper smiled kindly at her.

Chand grudgingly sat down on one of the empty chairs and forced himself to participate in their short group discussion.

Feeling a vibration on one of his pockets, he fished out his phone.

Declan (16:41 PM):
I went ahead since I saw you with your group.
Declan (16:42 PM):
Just so you know, I'm laughing my ass off right now.
🤭

The message made Chand even more bitter. Declan knew how much he hated group activities. It would've been better if he were in the same group as Declan though, he wouldn't get bored at least.

His friend was a very lax person so they easily get along especially in group activities. And, surprisingly, even with that personality of his, he's still scoring big on any exams.

Chand sighed silently, typing a reply.

Chand (16:43 PM):
You should've gotten me out of here, you fake friend.
Chand (16:44 PM):
And, btw, are you talking about that flat ass of yours? 🤨

Declan (16:49 PM):
You're sleeping outside tonight 🙂
