Lying with her back on the large picnic blanket spread out over the grass, Chantal stretched out her limbs as the warm summer breeze softly blew passed her.
She looked over to her side and saw that Phoebe was also lying and relaxing like her while using Vin's lap as a pillow.
Vin didn't seemed to mind and was even too focused on the book that he was currently reading.
Amidst the serene atmosphere, a mixture of loud feminine and masculine voices could be heard in the background.
"Oh my god! Chand, switch with me! This dumbass is too dumb to even hit a fucking shuttlecock," Xena roared in complaint as she and Ellis lost another round of badminton against Chand and Declan, the opposing team.
"Hey! Are you calling me dumb?" Ellis put a hand over his poor heart as he was in too much shock after hearing Xena's unfiltered words.
"See? You just proved how dumb you are by asking whether I called you dumb or not when I clearly fucking did," Xena fumed in annoyance while Chand and Declan only looked at the two arguing.
The two older boys were clearly amused at the younger duo, spitting insults at each other which later turned physical.
"Alright, alright! Hey, stop it already you two," Declan stood in between the two while trying to pull the young ones apart as they were already pulling each other's hairs out.
Well, technically, it was only Xena pulling Ellis' hair as the boy held the girl's wrist trying to make her stop because it was causing his dear scalp to hurt.
"Let go of me, Chand, or I'll pull your hair out as well," Xena warned the eldest whose holding her by her shoulders and trying to make her move away from Ellis.
"Hey! You wouldn't dare!" Chand said, alarmed.
The girl only looked back and up to face the eldest, "Wanna bet on it?"
Feeling her ominous words, Chand quickly let go of her causing Xena to continue on her attempt to torture Ellis.
That scene continued to play on for a while before Chantal called out the four bickering idiots, "You guys! It's lunchtime!"
Xena looked at Ellis after hearing Chantal's words. Her eyes held a menacing glare as she once again felt irritated at him for dumbly losing. "You're lucky this time around," she huffed before walking out towards where Chantal and the others were lounging.
"Lucky?! You almost made me bald!" Ellis complained while the two older boys behind him cracked up at what he said before also making their way towards the others.
A different array of foods were spread out on their large picnic blanket as the seven of them enjoyed the delicious taste and relaxing atmosphere. It was a good change of scenery for the group.
Chand, who's munching on a mango-flavored pastry, was extra-thrilled that he get to spend a good day with his friends where he didn't have to see his ex.
"Chand?"
The eldest looked up from where he was sitting, only to be greeted by a familiar face.
"Casey...? What are you doing here?"
