"Wow! This is such a huge place!"

"You have a pool as well?! Holy shit!"

"A private beachfront house really is just the best!"

Plenty of compliments were heard from the group as soon as they arrived at Zaxton's villa. Sooner, the guests had designated the available guest rooms for themselves and had finally settled down.

"Kali, the others and I are gonna walk around the area. You wanna come with?" Phoebe asked Kali, who was sitting by the dining area as Zaxton made a few sandwiches and a drink for her.

Kali declined Phoebe's offer. She had been feeling tired ever since a while ago and although her condition had improved well enough for her to not stay in bed, she just wanted to relax and not do anymore walking.

Sooner, the others left the villa to explore the small town that they're in.

"They don't know?" Zaxton asked without any delay as soon as her friends left.

Kali shook her head, confirming his question.

"But that Avery does?" He continued.

"She found out a few weeks ago. Her brother is actually my doctor," Kali forced out a small smile. Zaxton nodded his head in understanding.

"And you don't plan on telling them?"

Thinking it over, she shook her head for the second time. A sad smile etched on the corners of her lips as she answered, "I think it's better for them not to know."

Hearing her answer, Zaxton knew he couldn't do anything about her decision even if he were to disagree with it. He knew that the only thing Kali needs right now is for him to support his sister.

After placing a plate with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in front of her, he patted her head gently. "No matter what happens, I'm here, okay?" He told her, showing a brotherly love to his only sister.

It was the first time where a family member had showed affection towards her since the passing of her mother—the only family that she had.

It felt refreshing and new. And Kali could feel her heart swell with gratitude.
