-.--.-..-.-...-

"Here," Chand handed Kali a drink he bought from a cafe he went to before coming to her room.

Xena looked up from the magazine she has been reading, "What are you giving her?" Her eyes looking sharp as she stared at the unknown concoction.

Chand ignored Xena's inquiry and proceeded to handing the drinks to the others.

"Hmm!" Everyone looked at Kali as her eyes went wide while sipping the drink Chand had just handed her.

Avery immediately went near Kali with eyes full of worry, "Are you okay?"

Kali immediately nodded, effectively easing her friends' worries. "This taste so good!"

Her comment made Chand grin even wider, "I knew you'd like it."

Kali shared her drink to Xena and Avery when she saw them giving her curious looks.

"Is that tiramisu?" Avery's eyes shined when she immediately recognized the familiar taste. She's always been a fan of anything coffee, a trait she shares with Chand.

"I bought you one as well," Chand smiled at the bubbly Avery.

"So, how's school?" Kali asked

"Wow, you sounded just like my mom." Avery laughed loudly while the others snickered.

Kali put on a cute pout. She was genuinely curious as to how her friends were faring in school. She didn't expect that she would miss being busy but she did.

The boring and mundane hospital life was making her itching to actually do something.

"I miss college," Kali blurted out.

"That's a first," Xena's sarcastic smile turned into one of sincere and pained as she realized Kali's words.

Kali mirrored Xena's smile but hers were more hopeful and encouraging. Chand neared the sickly girl and sat at her bedside, a habit that came to life as soon as Chand frequently visits Kali.

"But thinking about it, I also like being lazy and just doing nothing everyday," Kali added, this time a smug look graces her features as she saw Xena and Avery's jealous look.

Truly, after working lots of part-time jobs even while attending college, this was the first time since a while that Kali really felt relax.

And she really liked it.
