Kali woke up from her sleep before her alarm could go off. It was already morning and the sun was starting to rise.

After the incident, Kali tried her very best to avoid anyone. She was too busy and afraid.

She had been waking up extra early these past few days in order to catchup with her studies. She had missed a lot after being absent for a couple of days.

Not only that, she also started working in a part-time job. She badly needed the money and she was the only one who could support for herself.

After prepping, Kali was about to walk out of the room when she saw her roommate by the door waiting for her.

"Let's go to school together?" The girl smiled.

"Phoebe... but doesn't your class starts at nine? It's still seven..." Kali didn't want to come to school with her. She's worried that their friends would speak badly about her just because she still hangs out with someone who's been branded as a cheater by their friends.

Kali had a hunch that their friends has started to look at her differently and not in the good way. She knew but she couldn't help it.

She's too afraid to even explain to them, afraid that they would not believe her just like how Chand didn't believe her. That's why, she hasn't exactly told anyone anything, even to her roommate.

"I have some things to do so I needed to be there a little early this time."

Knowing that she couldn't refuse, Kali slowly nodded her head.

They were silent on their way to their campus and it was far from how the usual morning would have gone by. They used to talk about a lot of things before.

"You've been going home a little late these days," her friend spoke.

"Yeah, I got a new job. It pays a little extra than the one from before," Kali shared. Phoebe is the only one who knows about how much she needed the money.

Kali had once misplaced her employee's ID on her desk in the past and her roommate had caught sight of it. She knew ever since then.

"But still, going home very late at night... and you're all alone too," she expressed her concern.

At that moment, Kali felt grateful that someone was actually concerned about her. She gave a small smile at her friend, trying to ease her worries.

"I'm okay. I can handle myself, Phoebe."
