-.--.-..-.-...-"It really is you! Thank god!"
Avery ran to Kali and immediately engulfed her in a hug, leaving the girl baffled at her actions. Kali noticed that she wasn't alone though and that the rest of their group was there.
"What are you... doing here?"
"Avery wanted to go on a trip," Vin answered Kali's question to which she nodded slowly. Her mind can't seem to process seeing her friends when she had thought she wouldn't be able to see them again.
One month had gone by and now that they're in front of her eyes, it suddenly occurred to her how much she had missed them.
The others joined the two as they ate lunch inside the small bakery. Their number crowded the inside of the shop so the owner suggested to move their tables outside. It wasn't that bad of an idea.
Actually, it was a genius idea. The outside environment was even more relaxing compared to the inside.
Since the place was located a little far from the town's center, the sea could be seen just a few meters from the distance and only a few cars are seen driving by.
It was the perfect spot to loosen up and enjoy a sunny day out.
"By the way, who's that?" Xena asked after taking a huge bite of food from her plate, motioning on the new face that's sitting beside Kali.
"Ah, this is Zaxton," Kali holds a small smile as she looked at the lad beside her. When their eyes made contact, she continued her words. "And these are my... friends," she said, unsure if they still see her as that. The others noticed her hesitation but opted to not say anything.
Nevertheless, she still perceive them as her friends.
Zaxton only bowed his head a little on the others' direction and continued eating his ordered food without saying anything. He knew of her sister's circumstances, how she and her friends had a fall-out.
The quiet atmosphere returned and only the sound of utensils clanking against their plates could be heard as well as the sound of waves from the distance.
