Chand was so busy all throughout the morning since his schedule was full. That was why, upon knowing that he could finally take a break, he was beyond ecstatic.

"Declan! Chantal! Let's go eat lunch," he called out the two from where they were seated.

Without any delay, the three of them immediately headed out of their lecture room and towards the cafeteria.

"Goodness, Chand! Will you slow down? You're such a glutton, always active whenever food's involved," Chantal complained behind the eldest. Declan was beside her, laughing his butt off as she struggled to keep up with their pace.

Being the shortest among their friends, Chantal had to put more effort into walking a little faster than the two if she didn't want to be left behind.

"At least it made me tall," Chand remarked causing Declan to double over in laughter.

"You're such a piece of shit," Chantal cussed her friend out and began walking ahead of the two, feeling annoyed at his little insult.

The guy only smiled at her back, "Heh, thanks."

When they arrived, the cafeteria was already crowded with university students so they had to wait in line to order some food before heading to their usual table.

Chand was about to sit on their usual spot when his eyes spotted someone he wasn't expecting to see.

"Wow. Couldn't this day get any worse," he mumbled out-loud earning attention from his friends.

"She's joining us for lunch so just sit down," Vin answered him. As always, his words were straightforward to a fault. Chand always liked that side of him but this time, he just found it annoying and rude.

Chand raised a brow at the shorter guy. He was younger than him and he dared to order him around? His patience, which was already running thin before, had completely snapped.

"I'm not sitting through this shit, Vin. I'm leaving."
