-.--.-..-.-...-

"What took you guys so long?"

"Sorry, there was something I had to discuss with Kali," Avery immediately came up with an excuse as she sat between Xena and Chantal. It was the only available space apart from the spot beside Chand's which Kali took.

"Discuss about what?" Phoebe asked. Her head was laying on top of Vin's lap and she looked quite comfortable.

Avery put on a secretive smile as a response and winked at the older, "I ain't telling."

It's not like I can say it anyway unless Kali wants them to know, she thought while casting a glance at the eldest.

"What were you guys doing, by the way?" Kali tried to divert their attention which seemed to work without any problem.

"Vin and Chand are gonna sing us a song," Pierre answered.

"I'll sing only if Ellis plays the guitar," Chand remarked which made Ellis chuckle. "I'll get my guitar then, I'll be right back," he swiftly stood up and left.

The wood crackles in the bonfire as minutes passed by, soon, Ellis came back with a guitar in his hand. "By the way Kali, where's Zaxton?" Ellis asked out of nowhere.

"He said he'll head to bed first since he was too tired from today," Kali answered.

It was the truth. Instead of trying to look for her medicine in a nearby pharmacy, the three of them had decided to wait for Seb.

They'd need a prescription upon purchasing it anyway and given that they currently don't have that, there's no way the store would sell it to them. No matter how desperate they look.

The soft strumming of the guitar brought Kali back from her thoughts. As Ellis tunes his guitar, the rest looks at him and waits.

"Is it that song?" Ellis asked to both Vin and Chand. As the three made eye contact, Chand timidly nodded.

In response, Ellis nod his head and started strumming a tune. The soft melody setting the atmosphere into a mellow one.

And without missing a beat, Vin started to sing.
