-.--.-..-.-...-

"Is it a song this time?" Kali asked as she turned on her bed to face Chand, who's sitting a small distance from her bed by the window and writing nonchalantly on his notebook.

Chand was the only one staying with Kali as the others had their classes back in the city. It's a weekday and the others promised to visit her every vacant weekend that they have.

Chand looked up from his pad and smiled, "Yep. Do you wanna hear what I've made so far?"

Chand, as always, didn't mind showing any of his unfinished works to Kali, a very opposite attitude when it comes to other people seeing his work.

Kali hummed as she tried to think but then shook her head, "Sing it to me once you're done. I'd love to hear your voice."

The boy smiled at her words. He find it quite funny because even if she wouldn't make such a request, he'd still sing it for her just as he had done so in the past years when they were still together.

"Okay," he agreed. But then he noticed something that made him chuckle a little.

"But why do you look a little disappointed?" He commented when he saw her pouting a little.

"I'm not though?" Kali tried to deny, even when deep inside she did kind of wanted to hear his song. His singing voice had always become her comfort—a lullaby that had always made her feel safe.

"Heh, you wanted to hear it, didn't you?" Chand smirked seeing Kali's reddened ears, a sign that she's embarrassed.

"Then I'll sing a little bit of it," he added.

🎶 Yeah, I was stupid

Kali looked at the young man, she didn't expect a strong note right from the bat.

The words were quite straightforward too, something she thought weirdly of as Chand usually makes lyrics of his songs quite puzzling yet very understandable.

🎶 왜그랬을까그땐?
(Why was I like that back then?)

Chand's voice was full of raw emotions just from that short line alone, and Kali felt it. She could see and read the regret strongly on his face. Her heart pounded wildly at his piercing gaze.

Feeling the tensed and heavy atmosphere, Chand broke into an innocent smile. "That good that it left you speechless, huh?" Chand teased which caused Kali to roll her eyes, though she couldn't keep the smile that slipped.

"I can't wait to hear the whole of it," Kali commented.
