Chapter 18: Unspoken words
3 years prior...
"Listen, what's about to happen tonight may not end in the way we plan for it to. According to Belle and Raymond however, we should be in the clear. As stated before, this is the legal business they're apart of, so they have access to everything which was given to me. So everything should be clear correct?" A 22 year old Syre looked up towards the man and woman who were both in their late 40s.
They weren't just a man and woman though, they were his partners. It wasn't an unheard of tale for those who were supposed to be on two opposing sides of the spectrum coming together for business. Although his father warned him numerous times, Syre had been doing business with the couple for going on 5 years now, when everything in his fathers name was turned over to him.
"Correct, just continue on the rundown and view of the building that we gave you." Raymond smiled small, but Syre didn't return the gesture. Instead, he turned towards his best friends, who were also his main partners, Aaron and Red.
"Aight cool, so y'all go to the back being that y'all have access to the exit way doors, and we'll take inside." Syre instructed, glancing around at everyone to make sure the instructions were clear.
Red never said much, but Aaron nodded his head in response. Nodding himself, Syre looked over to Belle and Raymond, non verbally telling them they were going in. Holding up a thumbs up, Belle turned to go towards the back, with Raymond following close behind her.
"...Something don't feel right." Red mumbled, his hand reaching out to pull Syre back by his shirt before he could enter into the building. Knitting his eyebrows together, he looked back at his friend who remained in his crouched position.
"And why you say that?" Syre sighed, glancing between his friend and the entrance to the factory-like building, which contained the money they were gearing up to retrieve. They were on a timely schedule, even as little as their bodies being detected on the premises putting everyone at risk already.
"I just feel it, but I could be overthinking cause that's usually the case. So come on." Red dropped it, knowing they'd been planning this entire thing for months, and his one second of doubt, that probably wasn't even anything, wasn't going to screw this up. Eyeing him for another second, Syre glanced over at Aaron, before back towards the door in front of them.
Standing to his feet, he made sure they were in he clear before kicking the door open, allowing for him, Red, and Aaron to all rush through. However the second they walked in and looked around, nothing was as it seemed during the planning process of it all.
"This a set up..." Aaron whispered, his eyes frantically scanning the room for an escape way. "Come on" He nudged his head, running towards a side door that seemed untouched. While they ran, Syre pulled his phone out to call Leon who stayed back at the trap. Wanting to join them, but he couldn't do much with a broken arm.
"Yo-."
"Nigga send like 3 trucks, I need to- fuck!" Syre yelled, his phone getting shot out of his hand by a bullet flying directly through. Groaning, he held his hand in pain, it wasn't the first he'd been shot, but it was the first the bullet went all the way through. Resulting in an entry and exit wound.
"Give up Syre, it's over!" He heard from behind him, his body freezing at the sound of Belle's voice. Squeezing his eyes shut, he motioned with his head for his friends to stop moving, knowing an escape wouldn't be as easy as what they presumed. Swallowing down hard, he slowly turned around to stare at the couple he once referred to as his most loyal business partners. Standing with 5 other men behind them with their guns drawn.
