Allure...to powerfully attract or charm; tempt.
It was the physical attraction that they believed kept them coming back, but in reality, it was more than that. Two broken souls, unaware to the fact the fix was one another.

Taking a deep breath, I mentally coached myself on how to go about approaching all of this. I knew Syre was watching, and I also knew there was a strong chance Zolai could've been here for reasons far from pure. I was nearly positive of it, and I understood it was me who in a sense cut off our communication, but she didn't make much effort either. Except, she chose to indulge in a situation having nothing to do with her...or that's what I assumed with the way Syre was acting since he knew a lot that he didn't tell me.
"Just be normal." I mumbled to myself, finally building the courage to swing the door back open. And the second I did, she quickly locked and looked up from her phone that she was texting away at. "Um, you can come in." I stepped to the side, sending a look to the security out there as soon as her back was to me.
"This is such a nice place you have here, I would've never guessed stripping could've had you living like this." I immediately paused my walking to just stare at her looking around and running her fingers along everything. I hated a bitch who downplayed my intelligence with backhanded comments.
"Is it because you also strip and only get by through staying with Azariah?" I raised an eyebrow, following her towards the living room. I ignored the look she gave me once she turned her head, my body past her into the living room.
"Girl...that was not necessary." She laughed to herself, taking a seat down on the sofa across from the one I sat on. Sending her a tight lipped smile, I adjusted my phone in my pocket to flip the camera so Syre could see her.
"Neither was your comment, but how have you been? Or rather what brings you by, I don't remember giving you my address." I tilted my head in foe confusion, watching intently the way she threw her head back to laugh again.
"Remember our last conversation? You told me you were staying here." Hearing a ding from my phone, I quickly pulled it out seeing a message from Syre.
Bestie🫶🏾
Play dumb and go with everything she says to you, don't argue about anything having to do with things you might've said or done
Shaking my head, I glanced back up to see her looking around the house again, not even paying me any mind. Clearing my throat, I switched the screen to look at Syre who was staring into the phone intently. Jaw clenched and his nose slightly red, showing he was getting upset quickly.
"Yeah, sorry I forgot. Are you here to surprise me or something though?" I smiled, shoving the phone back into my pocket.
"Well actually, I seen that video that's been going around with you and that King nigga in the club, and I had to come check on you. Amerie I think you should come back to Florida, that man and this place isn't safe for you." She sounded so genuine with her words, and for a second I almost believed her. But again, she never got word of my address from me, and I knew that no matter what she claimed.
