"You want to abort it?!" Kimora looked at her best friend as though she'd lost her mind, as they sat in Kimora's kitchen with Kaylen, who occupied himself with his toys.

Trailing her eyes over, Amerie eyed Kimora weirdly, not understanding the shock that came with her reaction. "Why would I keep this baby...?" She spoke slowly, her tone so dull and distant as it'd been since everything began to unfold all at once.

"Amerie- are you at least going to talk to him about it? It's a decision you both-."

"Nope, there's nothing to talk about." She immediately dismissed as she scrolled through her phone aimlessly.

She knew what she wanted to do and knew what she was going to do, and the doctor confirming she still had time to go through with the procedure put everything into perspective. She set the appointment up for it to happen exactly a week from the previous appointment, making it only 3 days away now.

"I love you with all my heart, I really do. But that's still his baby, and if you're choosing to get rid of the baby then he at least deserves to know that." Kimora looked between her friend and the stove, where she was cooking, repeatedly.

She was on Amerie's side most of the time, that was who she owed loyalty to. But in a situation like this, she didn't agree and wouldn't act like she did just to be a yes man.

"For what? He's a terrible father to the one child he has now, you think I want to watch him obsess over my baby as he unapologetically dismisses his child he already has? Because that's what the outcome of knowing I have this child would be. That's disgusting." She continued on, placing her phone back down to watch Kimora whose back was turned in Amerie's direction.

"I heard he's stepped up and handling his shit." Kimora glanced back briefly, trying to keep up building her case for at least an attempt of Amerie understanding where she was coming from. "Remi went with him yesterday, and when he came home he said he was playing with the little boy and everything."

Scoffing, Amerie slid off of the bar stool she sat on to check the cake in the oven. "Yeah, after me telling him off and him running to his father. He doesn't actually care about that boy, Syre's selfish and he'll do whatever to get what he wants in the end, which is this relationship back. He's going to use him 'stepping up' as to why I need to keep this child, and why I need to take him back." She mumbled the last part.

If anyone knew Syre, it was her, and even then she was well aware there was a lot to him she still didn't know completely. However she knew enough, and knew he was skilled in manipulation and gaslighting. Something that worked to his advantage with her 9/10.
