"Knock knock, yo favorite person here!" Squeezing my eyes shut hearing the voice followed by my office door flying open, I slowly raised my head up to watch him shuffle in as if he owned the place.

Weeks gone by with the same routine of things, whether that be him randomly popping up and getting ignored, or us somehow being up under each other until I randomly grew that sense of disgust from being around him. I knew the signals I was giving him were all over the place, but it was vice versa and bringing me back to that period when we first started fucking around. The only difference was that we weren't entertaining other people, and I believed him when he said that.

"Why the fuck are you at my job Syre?" I sighed, going back to highlighting the notes I was almost done with.

Despite not paying attention to him, I could hear him walking deeper into the room. He placed the bags in his hand down, before plopping down on the couch that rested against the wall to the left of me, giving me a clear view of him through my peripheral vision.

"You off now, I can't come visit no more?" He chuckled, pulling his phone out from his pocket. "And I also had to give you that shit there." He pointed towards the bags in the corner, making me raise my head to read their logos.

Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel all occupied space on one of the three bags. With them sat a box, with the outside also reading Chanel.

"Why do you believe gifts and material shit is the key to winning me back every single time, we go through this constantly." I finally sat the papers down to place my sole attention on him, watching his eyes slowly raise from his phone to stare at me oddly.

Before him, I never even seen these designer brands or had them close to being in my possession. Tristan had money, but he used it mainly on the other women he messed with outside of me. Akeem had money, but he hated me so bad to where there was never ever a time in my life where I could remember him genuinely giving the slightest fuck about sharing anything he had. So everything came with Syre, and it was a new lifestyle and world that I was still adapting to.

"Cause who don't like gifts? You got on at least half a mil, jewelery alone right now, and you look gorgeous." His tongue darted out between his lips to run over the pinkness slowly, as his eyes scanned all along my body.

Tilting my head, I watched him until he finally met my face again, immediately snapping out of whatever trance he went through just now. We stared at each other silently for a minute until I broke it, turning my head back towards the papers because staring too long with him led to other things...and other thoughts.
