Payu, Prapai and Priscilla's stories were one that was known all over the realms. Long ago, Payu, Prapai and Priscilla had been inseparable till they were chosen by Immo to become Protectors. There were three Realms. Payu was to protect Arityl, Prapai to protect Carityl and Priscilla to protect the human realm. Two hundred years later, there was a big battle that threatened all the realms. During this battle, Payu and Prapai made the biggest of mistakes and had to pay for it, with the things they valued most.
*********
"Who do you think you are to defy me?"
It was quite dark and gloomy, trees surrounded the area, a man was seen crawling on the floor, all over his face and hands were scarred and bleeding. He could hear steps behind him. The shadow of the person responsible for his torture followed him.
"Please, please, one more chance. I promise I'll be faithful."
Crawling forward. The man behind him took long strides, he was neither too fast or slow and he walked with dominance. His long light apparel swishing in the wind. The man on the ground knew his time was up, the person above him was an immortal. he was sent by another kingdom to spy on them and their watcher found him.
"Please, I'll do anything, let me live."
He had caught up with him, held him by the back of his neck. He lifted him up from the ground and they were both up in the air.
"Please Protector Prapai. I was sent. I'll never do it again."
"So you know who I am, and I'm sure you know what I can do." Prapai's grip was tighter.
"I want a Lord's Council." Before he could call for the lord he wanted, Prapai held his neck tighter, he could no longer utter any word. Prapai flew a bit higher and dropped him. Before he landed, he disappeared. But he could hear him mention a name. He read his lips and knew it was Protector Payu. He heaved. He got down to the ground. Protector Payu was not someone he wanted to meet anytime soon. They had been sworn enemies for generations. Prapai's assistant came running. He had just learnt to disappear, but he couldn't go far with his skills. He had been running after his boss for hours but couldn't catch up. when he finally did, he was scolded by Prapai. He took everything in good fate until he heard the bad news.
"Payu is coming, I killed the man who wanted A Lord's Council." His assistant felt shivers down his spine. Tinnapat had worked with him for fifty years and he knew his boss like the back of his palm. He had never broken any rules. Although his measures were a little uncalled for regarding protecting Carityl Realm but he believed in him. On the other hand Protector Payu of Arityl was someone who upholded all the rules of the realms. Payu and Prapai were sworn enemies, as they had in time past done something that led them to completely despise themselves. Tinnapat didn't know what it was but he was sure it must have been something grave.
Protector Prapai returned home waiting for Payu. He sat in his chamber. This was going to be interesting he thought. He brought out a sword and kept it on the table.Carityl was such a beautiful place, same as Arityl but there was this eerie feeling with Arityl because of its Protector. Protector Payu on the other hand was someone who was building a system. He was gentle with his cases and the people feared and loved him. He had no enemies except Prapai. They had their fallout two hundred years ago and had no intention of settling. Payu was seated at home when he heard his name whispered. He knew it was the Lord's Council and he was expected to be a judge for it. He immediately appeared at CArityl. He saw no one. He appeared exactly where his name was called as for every Lord's Council, there was going to be two protectors present. He knew something was wrong when no one stepped forward. He went immediately to Prapai. He saw him seated and knew instantly he was waiting for him.
Like yin and yang both of their destines were intertwined. Prapai was a formidable force and so was Payu. They stared at each other. It was one of their numerous confrontations over the years. They were both used to it but this time it was different. Prapai had broken a rule by not letting a guilty party free trial. No matter the offense, once a Lord's Council is called, it was instantaneous that the person was getting one. Prapai had killed this one.
"Are you insane? How could you deny a man his rights? I know you have lost it, but not to this extent."
"Payu, Payu, Payu, what happened to how are you? I miss you. It's been a while. We are not savages to throw away pleasantries."
"You psychotic bastard! I've had enough of you messing with everything..." Payu drew his sword, knowing fully well they couldn't even win against each other.
Prapai smiled. " I was waiting for this, it's been Two hundred years, the last time we fought." He licked his sword. Prapai flew to avoid his mini palace from getting destroyed, Payu followed suit. Prapai was ready to go to war and so was Payu. Their swords clashed against each other, they used their lightening powers to decapitate the other person but it was no use, they were both incredibly fast. Payu got out fire from his left hand, he got close to Prapai, changing it to a whip, he wrapped him in it. They both were falling from the skies. A loud thud was heard from the both of them. As they turned to know what they hit. It was an Immo plant. They were both screwed. Immo plants were a life giving source only grown in the houses of the Protectors. If one dies, all the others in the other realms followed. They both dropped their swords and tried to use their light force to revive it. It was no use. The plant died. They both had their hands on their heads. Prapai had made bad mistakes in the past but never one this grave and Payu had never made any mistakes till this moment. They were both panicking.
"You make me lose my sense of reasoning whenever I'm with you. Prapai, you're the worst influence."
" I don't think now's the time to lay blame, Payu, what do we do?"
" You're asking me, the almighty Prapai is asking me."
Before they could continue the Korn appeared. He was the protector of all realms. He rarely appeared. They both knew they were in a lot of trouble. He looked around at Prapai's house that was partially destroyed then saw the vase with the Immo plant. It was normally kept in a protective frame but because they all knew how careless Prapai was he wasn't surprised. He finally spoke up. The two Protectors kneeling with their heads bent.
"WHO BROKE IT?" His voice echoed.
" I did. Please kill me." He put his head on the ground. Prapai knew things would end bad for him today.
" I was reckless and foolish, please punish me, kill me." Payu said.
"Huh???" This was the response from both the Realms Protector and Prapai. He had a good slate so taking the blame was not going to help him
" What did you say?" The Realms Protector asked
" I did it, please let me die by your hands."
"Are you covering up for Prapai, I already have the punishment for him."
"No, I did it." Prapai stated but was confused by the fact that Payu wanted to die. He turned to Payu
"Are you that desperate to die? What would you gain if you're killed?" Payu had no expression on his face. Prapai could tell he had been planning this for the longest of time.
" Are you dying, or are you looking for death?" There was still no answer from Payu. He shook him hoping to get an answer from him, but it was all in vain, Payu said nothing. He held him by his collar looked dead in his eyes and asked " do you want to die?" They had both been friends for centuries, but he never mentioned this to him. The frustration was written all over his face, he pushed Payu away and wanted to leave. He was hurt and disappointed, but angered at the same time.
The Realms Protector Spoke up
" Your punishments are as follows, you will both be tired to the two human inhibitors of Immo, till it grows back in our kingdom. Since both of you take the blame, if your human inhibitor dies, you follow as well." Payu had a thought that this was his best way to go. He was tired of being immortal. He was quite excited about it until The Realms Protector Spoke again " be well aware, you cannot kill an inhibitor, as you're tied to them, they can never be hurt". This pissed Payu off. Dying was proving more difficult than he had earlier envisioned.
Prapai spoke up still angry, "what are their names?" The Realms Protector answered
"Rain and Sky".
