Chapter 56: Our Bond

Pai was upset with himself that he abandoned Payu when he needed him the most. His hatred for Priscilla returned. Everything happened because of her and even in death she haunts them. Pai was pissed off with everything. If Rain died will it mean he never fulfilled his last mission? He thought about this but was incapable of killing him and he knew it. Even if not for Payu but with the fondness he had grown for Payu. He wasn't going to kill the only one who reciprocated his heart, that would be cruel. Pai's head was full, Sky was there watching him pace around the room. He knew he couldn't say anything. Life was just being unfair to the both of them. As much as he thought about his friend's predicament. He had his own. There was an incident and he knew if he told Prapai, it would be problematic. It was about the gift he received and what it implied. He knew if Pai hears, he would probably kill Sky.  So Sky kept shut about this, everything was happening so fast. There was never a right time. Sky shrugged it off, he wasn't going to feel pressured. When the time was right he was going to tell Pai, at least that was the right thing to do. Pai and Payu were going to the Rock today together. The Lord Council head was still not back from the battle so they couldn't meet her for help. Rain and Sky were left in the mansion. They went around to look for good, but it was already set on the table for them. They went to eat. They devoured the food happily. Sky didn't mention anything to Rain. He believed a cure would be found soon, he just didn't understand why things like this keep happening to them, they aren't safe from anything fully, it's either someone is trying to kill them or, they are in deep problem, it had been nothing but exhausting for both parties. Sky looked at Rain who was going through all types of emotion. When they were done eating they walked around in the mansion for so long till they got to the area the extracted plant was kept. It was huge and beautiful. They stood by it till they heard a voice "come closer. I don't bite." It was from the tree. They stepped a bit closer, because several times they had heard the voice of the person but never seen the person before. They both placed their hands on the tree and we're teleported inside. The place they appeared was like an island with only one tree. A lady came from behind the tree, she was gorgeous. She had long hair and a nice apparel. It was the same type Payu and Prapai had. So it meant she was a  Protector like them too. They didn't need any further introduction to know it was Priscilla. She pranced around smiling at them. She turned and they saw the gold tattoo. She came close to them. " Hi, mortals, sorry I stayed in you for so long, I needed a place to hide and I wandered for a very long time before I found both of you. How are you doing?"
A very confused Rain looked around him trying to figure out what was happening and said " I don't know what is going on here, how did we get in here?"
" I'm sorry, let me introduce myself. My name is Priscilla, and you probably have known that I was in both of you for the longest time. I'm sorry about that too, but I had no one to go to and I felt my brothers would find you and bring me back home."
Sky who now understood everything happening now opened his mouth to talk " so you're the one that brought all this misfortune upon us both." He had an unfiltered tongue and wasn't going to sugarcoat anything. Priscilla stepped back a bit before she began talking. " I seriously didn't intend for any of this to happen to you, any of you. I needed a place to hide and your bodies were the only places I was able to grow so I picked you both. Half on half. Luckily, you both got amazing boyfriend's in then end."
" You...you...you tortured both men for no reason, especially Payu who you clearly knew was in love with you, and liked you a lot. You went for every option except him. He suffered, your death cost him a lot." Rain ranted. Priscilla listened and tears welled up in her eyes as she said " I know this very well. That was why I tried my best to get back to him. I put more of my spirit in you Rain. The more he fell for you, the more I grew. Payu wasn't really in love with you, he was in love with me."
" How delusional are you? Even in death you still want to curse them pain." Sky said.
Priscilla laughed and continued
" Payu was in love with me through you and that was why he did all the things he did."
" Payu stopped loving you after meeting Rain, stop this nonsense."
" And who was inside Rain? I know I messed up, I killed myself even so Payu could feel how bad my life was. I wanted him to suffer because I loved him, even begged Moss who was in love with Prapai. I promised to help him so he helped me out too. My love with Payu was toxic but I loved it, every second of it."
" Are you insane?" Rain asked with every fiber of his being.
" Yes, insanely in love with Payu, he's my everything. And I'll never leave his mind."
" So what was the use of falling for a human?"
" So Payu would pity me, even made a deal with the Rock so Payu would feel he's dying after his last mission being the one I hid my soul inside. For Payu I would do anything."
" Don't you feel you need to stop?"
" Never! I've come too far to back down now.
" We will stop you."
" I have done all of this to just be with him, you can't stop me. I even made a deal with the Dark Realm. You can't stop me."

Payu and Prapai went to the Rock and found no one there, even the Rock itself was gone. How could a whole rock be missing. They looked around and found nothing.
" Are you sure this is the place you came to?"
"Yes it is.
" Then why isn't there anything here? What if it was a lie, all of it."
" It's not possible, I suffered for so long for something that wasn't true. How does that even make sense to you?"
" I don't know, but let's return."
