Sky turned to look up at every single person in that room, pointing at them
" Your ears are blocked to reasoning and your hearts are oddly foolish. You just want pain and suffering Right? You just want me and Rain to bleed to satisfy your blood lust. Fine... I will help you do that.... Come at me! Come at me with your best shot, and you better not miss because Prapai would finish you off. Strike me right here." Sky pointed to his heart. His eyes were fierce as he looked at them.
" I rather be killed myself that let you win over me."
Everyone was shocked by this. The Lord Protector nodded his head and said " I change my mind. I want all of you to go free. Sky and Rain. I hope we never meet again. You win, I lose. But just know this, in your happiest moment, I'll take everything from you. That's my promise or a word of advice. Nothing good lasts forever" This amazed everyone. It was not the outcome they wanted and certainly not the end they foresaw after al the back and forth bickering and banter, hurtful words were used, said and thrown left right and center.
" Prapai and Payu you are free to take your men. Council we are done here." He disappeared. This was quite unsettling for everyone. One after the other each person left, shocked by the verdict and everything. They could not believe it. They were all disappointed. Only five persons remained. Sky, Rain, Prapai, Payu and the Head lady. She looked at them. There was fear and skepticism in her eyes as she stepped down to get close.
" Do you think he'll just let you all be?"she asked
" it doesn't matter, we'll protect them. They mean everything to us so we would keep them safe." Payu said beating his chest.
She smiled then spoke.
" I'm so glad love found you both. You finally have people to protect that belong to you. No matter where you are, your immortality stays with you, but don't take his words for granted. He is still the Lord Protector. I think you both should return to the human realm and be safe. Rain and Sky, I loved your tenacity. Please protect these two. They will give their all to you just defend them I beg you. Never put yourselves in harms way.
Just sad that I'll have to protect the two realms when you're both gone but at least I can monitor everything from here and keep you all safe."
" Thank you." They all said
" Now return before I change my mind." They gave her a bow. Prapai and Payu held their men close to themselves as they disappeared back to Earth. Mari couldn't believe what was happening right before her eyes. She was so lost and happy at the same time. Her people were happy now, but at what cost? They were stripped of their titles as Protectors, their powers couldn't be taken away but they lost the ability to return to Arityl or Carityl. As much as it was a win for love, it was a bitter loss for the most powerful beings as they had nothing in the heavenly Realm to return to but were still content all the same.
Returning back to Earth, they went to their different directions. Hand in hand they left. Sky could only feel gloomy. They arrived a certain destination and all Sky could feel was just sadness. He turned to look at Prapai and clasped onto his hand tighter which made him pause. He turned to gaze at Sky who had tears streaming down his face. Prapai panicked and quickly stood in front of him.
" What's wrong babe?" He asked.
" Nothing. I just...."
" What? Sky what? Please don't make me panic."
" I'm so sorry. Since I got into your life it has been one issue...."
" Don't you dare say that! " Prapai cut him short.
" It has been only good things. I learnt that you love me as much as I do and you'll be willing to protect me as far as it regards me. You're willing to say anything just to make sure that I am safe. Sky. I regret absolutely nothing. From the moment I saw you till this moment right now, I stand by my choice. You're perfect. I still have my powers. I can still go back to the heavenly Realm as I please. Sky you make me safe." Sky had no choice but to smile. Prapai bent down and carried him on his back. They gossiped and laughed till they got home. It was already refurbished. Prapai dropped Sky gently and held onto his hands." Thank you for being my new home. Thank you for making me yours"
" Thank you for choosing me. I'll make you the happiest Immortal that has ever lived." Sky tiptoed to kiss him and Prapai swept him off his feet carrying him bridal style inside the house.
Rather than taking Rain home, Payu took him to the restaurant. P'Tai was about to lock the shop till he saw his bosses. He turned around and hugged Payu unknowingly as he had missed him " welcome back boss." When he realized his mistake he pulled back and apologized. Payu hugged him back and replied " it's good to be back." Rain looked at both men and said " I get jealous easily."
Payu pulled him in and they had a group hug. The three of them went back into the shop as Payu wanted a full briefing of what he had missed. It had been four weeks.
" Well I'm getting married boss."
" Really! That's amazing! To who."
" Lucille. She works at your other friends office as his secretary. What's his name again, uhmm.... Ski... Skrai..."
" Sky?" Rain corrected him
" Yes, him. She's been trying to get a hold of him but he has been incognito."
" Congratulations man , when is the wedding?" Payu asked
"In four weeks."
" That's amazing, we will all be here."
" Bosses, I'm so happy to see you both. I'll give you the full gist when I come tomorrow. But I have a dress fitting tonight and she has been calling me."
" It's fine, you can go. We'll lock up here."
" Thank you sir."
After he left, the room fell silent. Payu could only stare at his world in front of him. There was so much beauty in Rain that be could not bear than to mutter it out " you're so fine it's illegal."
" Where's this coming from?
"My heart of hearts. I love you babe. I really do."

Four weeks later.
Prapai and Sky were both in attendance looking very dashing. The wedding was an outdoor event as it was predicted that they would be no rain. Like glue, both men were strapped onto each other. It was an inseparable bond between the two. They came to a wedding but fantasized how theirs would be. With the flowers and everything. They laughed silently it was amazing. It was now time for the reception which was held in a tent. It really was a spectacular event. Sky looked lovingly at Prapai. They had a long night yesterday with screams and moans so it was majorly him assisting and Sky scolding for doing such a thing to him the night before a public event. Prapai was unapologetic and grinned ear to ear watching Sky struggle. He felt melancholic.
It was finally time to take the toast and the four friends gathered. The server came and  gave them the drinks. Last week everyone took a unanimous decision that the hearts be returned. Payu and Prapai objected but Rain and Sky's mind were made up. They had their hearts already they was no need to keep the ones given. It was taken out from them but the jewelry remained as it was really fine.
They all were given a glass with champagne inside. They made the toast, cheers were all around and drank it. Payu noticed a distinctive smell. It seemed so familiar to him but he brushed it off  like he was hallucinating. Their lovers drank to their satisfaction as they knew fully well that they would be taken back home well supervised. Payu smelt it again. This time he called the attention to Prapai.
" Can you smell that?"
" Yes, alcohol."
" Prapai, focus, what brand is that?"
" It's caristyla"
" What is caristyla doing here?"
Prapai became alert as he sat up. They looked at their boyfriends who were dancing
" Caristyla is given to immortals to get them drunk. Given to him and is equivalent to death.
Sky!
"Rain!"
They both ran to their boyfriends.
" Are you okay?"
" Yes, just very tipsy."
" Let's go home."
" But Payu the party just started."
" Rain don't argue with me, let's go. I'll say my farewell to P'Tai and we would be on our way."
" Fine."
Sky and Rain were placed on a bench outside so Payu and  Prapai could just tell their people goodnight. They were both given souvenirs for themselves and their boyfriends. They took it outside. They heard a voice.
" In your happiest moment I'll take away what you love the most. They searched the bench and couldn't find them. Prapai and. Payu panicked, went looking for them all around they were no where to be found. Rain came out of a bush, walking like a zombie towards Payu. He looked at him and stepped back. " I did my best." Payu stood in horror as a blade. He was sure it was immortal, went through Rain's stomach. His eyes widened and he fell to the ground. He was bleeding from his mouth and nose. He was unresponsive. Payu ran towards him and screamed. It was screeched and sounded pained. Prapai saw this in horror and ran to look for Sky, screaming his name.
"I won't have left you on the bench, I won't have, I shouldn't have." He saw something that looked like Sky's bracelet and followed the trail into a nearby lake. Sky was just looking at the Lake Prapai screamed his name but he didn't hear him. He ran towards the water. There was a forcefield there, Pai couldn't get through. He hit it several times but no way. He knew this was the work of the Immortal Protector. Pai saw him walk towards Sky, he screamed for him to stop. He didn't. He was on his knees now begging. Prapai was just some steps away from Sky but couldn't talk to him. The Immortal Protector them whispered something in his ear. Sky turned around and went to the forcefield where Prapai was and said " watch me! I'll take everything from you in your happiest moment." Sky turned around and headed for the lake. The Lord Protector looked at him and said
" Sky,be a good sport and jump in."  Without hesitation Sky walked into the water. In what seemed like forever he got to the lowest point and stopped. His head was not yet inside so Pai was still screaming for him to stop. " Sky, please, come back come back to me? I beg you."
" Prapai, you know he can't hear you at all. This is for my two sons. Sky.... Drown!"
" Nooooooo......"
Sky dipped his head into the water and saw him fight for his life in a shallow lake. Prapai screamed to nothing as the struggling stopped. He saw his lover, die.
