Chapter 11: This Boy Confuses Me

Moss was summoned to meet the Protector. He went in nonchalantly and without regard for anything or anyone. When he met with him, he didn't bother bowing and began by saying
" You do know, that every minute spend here is hours in the human realm, and I do not want to waste my time here." The Protector smiled and said " Yes I'm well aware, but I'm sure the information I'll give you will be to your liking." Moss smiled. He went further to climb the steps to where The Protector's seat was. The Protector quickly stood up motioning Moss to seat down on his seat, in his own house.
Moss spoke up for The Protector to be appointed, when the chance was slipping away, Moss caused a freak accident that killed all the potential candidates for the post, leaving just him to be appointed. The Protector knew this and did not take his help for granted. He crawled up to him for years on end, grovelling at his feet. It was time to give him the information " I found Priscilla's Immo Plant, it was shared amongst two boys. It's impossible to take it out of them prematurely so we have to wait. Prapai is already falling for one of them and in no time Payu will follow. Priscilla really gave it to the prettiest boys she could find." Moss smiled at this new found information
" I did meet the boys, and they sure were very cute. Prapai almost killed me on account of one of them. All I know is that I really have to be patient. All things come to those who wait. I hope they sleep together soon." he said this smiling. The Protector wanted to know his plans but Moss did not respond and totally ignored him disappearing from his seat.

Payu let himself in, he was very upset with Rain for not telling him anything prior to his disappearance and just went without prior information.
" What if something had happened to you? Or I couldn't get there in time to save you?
" P'Payu, I'm fine, I went out with Sky to the beach, nothing happened. Now leave my apartment" His tone of voice didn't sound happy at all so Payu confronted him about it." What's wrong Rain? Is there anything going on that you're not telling me." Rain was already furious at his cluelessness.
" Do I have to carry a banner for you to tell what is going on with me? Or do I have to print it on my forehead for you to know."
" Please tell me, I really want to be enlightened and stop playing with your emotions."
" Fine, I'll tell you. I like you, I want to kiss you, I want you inside me. That's what I want. That's what I want you to do for me, but clearly you can't, so now I want you to get out!" Rain didn't even wait for Payu to say anything and pushed him out of the house. He locked the door. Rain didn't believe what came out from his mouth but it had always been what he wanted to say. He wasn't expecting it to come out so blunt though. He felt embarrassed, in two days he had kissed him and confessed his feelings to him. Rain felt really shameful but the voice behind the door made matters worse. Payu said " I'll wait for all these things to pass, feelings are trivial but friendship is forever." This was a crystal clear indication that Rain just disgraced himself in front of his crush. Rain really felt low, it was the worst feeling, getting rejected was okay, but not to this extent. Rain didn't know when he started to cry. He felt a piercing pain in his chest, the pain of rejection. He fell to the ground and allowed himself to cry. " I'll be fine in the morning, I know I will, this too shall pass. This too shall pass." He said consoling himself, while crying uncontrollably.

Sky had to let go of Prapai,he didn't know he bothered him too much, Prapai saw he was confused and had to quench everything by saying " I'm ticklish." They both laughed it off and Sky asked " Did you miss me? I saw all your messages" Prapai didn't answer him and went upstairs with his coat properly covered. Sky smiled and said loudly " I know you did. Good night P'Pai" Prapai waved at him and went to his room. Prapai had come to the resolution " Sky is too dangerous for my life." the thought that he had someone else made it even more difficult for him to accept. " I can't be in love with someone that has another that's just straight up unfair for him." Prapai had to take a shower to calm himself down and slept off immediately. The next day, Sky was to start work at a company and Prapai offered to give him a ride there which was a smooth journey. It was to the company that Prapai was given, like Payu wanted a Restaurant, Prapai wanted a company. He never went but he liked the idea that Sky wanted to fill in for him. After dropping him off, he came back home, and met a car waiting for him with two persons outside his gate. He got inside first and went outside the gate to greet the strangers
" Hi, how may I help you?" one of the men looked gruff, while the other was well shaved and looked clean too. The clean looking man cleared his throat and said " I can't believe my Faen has finally got a good place to live. This looks absolutely regal, what is he giving you in exchange for this? Sex? money? I doubt he has any money to give you though, so the sex must be worth your while." Pai was really agitated by this, but he had to hold himself back, for a boyfriend to talk about his partner like this is already twisted as it is so Pai just sighed and said " He doesn't have to give me anything to stay here, I'm just a friend who was really helpful and got him out of the shithole he was living in." Sky's boyfriend smirked and whispered " Does he have something on you? Because if he does, I can make him go away." Prapai was flabbergasted by this, was this the guy Sky was willing to go and live with? Was this the guy he was in love with? this ass wiper of a person. Prapai didn't quite get it and asked " how did Sky end up with a guy likes you?"
" He didn't have a choice though, I was available, he was desperate. He needed solace and I gave it to him. He worships the ground I walk on and loves me unconditionally. But you're being obvious sir."
" What do you mean?" Prapai asked
" You're starting to fall for him haven't you? It's understandable given that Sky can sweep anyone off their feet. He's cute, friendly and most importantly sexy." This gave Prapai an icky feeling, but before he could say or do anything, he saw Sky. Sky had forgotten a very important document and came home to retrieve it. He didn't return with the car and just took a bike but seeing that Prapai was coming out to meet his boyfriend, he had hidden himself and was frozen, listening to all the things his boyfriend had said about him, further solidifying the fact that he never loved him. Sky had tears roll down his eyes constantly listening to him talk about the sex and nothing else, didn't get have good qualities or was that the only thing that he found useful about him. Not him paying his fees, helping him get to where he was, but just the sex. The last statement was the straw that broke the camel's back and Sky couldn't take the insults anymore. He got out and this was when Prapai saw him. His boyfriend turned and looked at the angle he was facing and saw Sky. His countenance completely changed, not knowing Sky heard everything. He ran towards him, hugging and planting a peck on his cheek. Prapai saw this am d boiled, but he didn't want to get involved. Sky pushed him away and asked " what do you want?"
His boyfriend replied " I came to get you, remember you told me to come, and I was very busy, but now I'm free, so we can go to our love next." Sky had his sad eyes and asked " I asked you to do that one month ago, I've been here for so long."
" Baby, I'm sorry, I was working, I'll make it up to you." when Sky wanted to speak he stuttered, looking at the man he sacrificed so much for that just loved him for what he looked like. Prapai was about to leave but Sky walked towards him, holding a part of his coat. He needed the support and knew Prapai had his back, he faced his ex and said
" you ungrateful nitwitted nincompoop. I GAVE UP EVERYTHING FOR YOU, MY TIME, MONEY, RESOURCES AND EVEN MOST REGRETTABLY MY BODY, ANS WHAT DO I GET IN RETURN, YOU ASKING HIM IF I SLEPT WITH HIM. ARE YOU THAT DULL OR... JUST PLAIN STUPID. I KNOW... I KNOW ABOUT YOU CHEATING, I KNOW ABOUT YOU GOING AS FAR AS HAVING THREESOMES YOU CRAZY BASTARD. AND I... I... I WAS SO FOOLISH, WAITING FOR YOU TO COME AND GET ME, BUT GUESS WHAT, I'M DONE, DONE WITH YOU, DONE WITH YOUR BULLSHIT. I'M BREAKING UP WITH YOU." Prapai noticed how tight Sky was holding on to his coat so he knew he was speaking from a place of absolute pain and regret from wasted years. The ex tried to come closer but Sky gripped Prapai tighter. He held his shoulders and stared at his eyes for permission. Sky nodded and Prapai put Sky behind him, facing the ex. He looked like he had just been greatly insulted and wanted to retaliate but Prapai smiled at him and said " I'll treat you by your worth. I'm sure since you know this place you'll never stop desperately trying to get Sky for yourself, so how much is he worth to you, a million, two million, what is it?" The ex flipped the question back at Prapai " What's he's worth to you then."
Prapai smiled and replied
" Priceless, but I'm sure you have one, so what is it?" The ex smiled as well, Sky felt disgusted by this and knew his ex would actually name a price, he tugged at Prapai motioning him to get inside. Pai obliged but ended by saying " I will kill you, if you get an inch close to him." both men drove off, and Prapai was left with Sky who was shaking all over. He took him inside and Sky went to a nearby bush and puked. Prapai rushed to his side and patted his back, leading him gently into the house bathroom to wash his mouth. Pai felt helpless, a feeling he had started to develop since he met Sky. He wants to help him, in anyway, shape or form, but there's only so much he could do. Sky picked up the documents he came for. He looked at Prapai and asked gently " can you drive me back to the office?" Pai responded affirmatively and Sky went with him.
Rain came to the shop the next day, trying his best to avoid Payu. He treated him formally and for the first time, instead of calling him P'Payu, he called him Khun Payu. This happened the whole day and Payu couldn't take it, Rain went for a bathroom break and Payu followed too. When Rain was done Payu got in and locked the door. " It's fine that you like me and all, but it's still my choice whether to like you back or not. You've been acting immature and silly all through today. Is it because I don't see you the same way you see me? Rain, we cannot always have what we want." This tugged a string in Rain's heart, as he had been looking at the mirror the entire time but turned back to look at Payu " fine, but I need you to stop doing the things you do, buying me food, checking my clothes to see if it's properly done, healing my wounds. All of these contribute to why I feel this way for you, so do me and yourself a favour, P'Payu, don't lead me on anymore so my feelings for you would change." Rain turned and walked away while Payu was left in the restroom, thinking of what he had said. When work was over for the day, Rain approached Payu and said "I've made a decision, I'm going to be moving out of the house, so you don't have to walk me home anymore, it will be in different directions. Thank you for all your kindness sir." Payu nodded in acceptance, he didn't fight it, didn't even protest. Rain walked away but turned back and added. " I'd appreciate it so much if you don't show up as much as you used to. Don't want you shaking up my heart anymore."
Rain left the shop and for the first time, Payu didn't escort him home. He heaved putting his hands on his head and said " I can't fall for you Rain, Priscilla's still in my heart."
Prapai went to the grocery store in the evening to buy food, by the time he returned, Sky was sitting in darkness with two bottles of wine, one had been finished and the other was half way done. Prapai walked towards him and asked what was wrong. Sky didn't answer him and just continued drinking. He eventually gazed at Prapai who had a worried expression on his face and asked " P'Pai, I don't think I'll find someone that would love me the way I want to be loved and treat me the way I want to be treated. Is it too much to ask if I want stability? Is it too much to ask if I want to be seen. P'Pai." Prapai just got closer, dropped the groceries and gave Sky a hug, allowing him to cry his heart out when he was done, Sky found himself feeling so safe in Pai's arms he closed his eyes and muttered the words
" I wish you were mine instead."
Pai's eyes widened, he wanted Sky to continue, but he was already dozing he carried him upstairs and laid him down on the bed. Pai went straight to Payu's restaurant and saw him moping
" Is it because of Rain?"
" Yep"
" Is he in love with you or the other way around?"
" it's equal."
" So you're in love with him?"
" Yep."
" Don't tell me you still have Priscilla in your heart so you're torturing the poor boy" there was no response from Payu
" grow up, she's dead and never coming back, and you'll lose him if you don't wake up. Payu if you haven't noticed our missions became so tough recently, we are both falling for them, it would get to a point that we wouldn't be able to hold back. They really confuse us and we can't do anything about it."
