Chapter 20: As I Am

"So what's your name?"
Prapai froze. He had never been in this position before with Sky and it seemed like he was really screwed "uh.... I really... I um... It's...um... Pai."
"Pie, okay. Please take me to Rain." If there was ever a low point in Pai's life, it was today. Any word Sky said, any movement he did made it clear that this was not the Sky from last night. The one who wanted him, who wanted to be in his space, who wanted to protect him. Pai didn't even know what to feel. He excused himself and went to the rooftop. He looked up at the night sky. It was pitch black, like how he was feeling. There was really no hope for him. He sighed, breathed in and screamed out his lungs. He did it thrice. He sat down on the flat roof with both hands on his head. How did it get so bad from yesterday. Pai stayed there for a while before he went back inside. He needed to check something. Sky was still seated the way he left him, he didn't move at all. Sky was more confused by everything happening. He could feel a part of his life was missing but he couldn't tell what it was. The only person he remembers was Rain and his enemy. His mind was really foggy. He couldn't remember anything tangible that he could hold onto. When Pai met him and took him away from there, Sky felt safe, he felt in a certain type of way that this person needed to be trusted, but he didn't understand why. He just felt safe. When Pai came back, he stood up, looked into his eyes. Pai looked pained, he didn't feel like asking him anything and went in with a hug. He whispered in his ear "I feel you really need this. Thank you for everything." Pai wasn't going to give up anymore, all the stress he was feeling felt like it was melting away. Sky wanted to pull away but Pai held him " Just one minute, I beg you." Sky nodded on his shoulder and stayed there. The inexplicable warmth he felt from this simply action, he wanted to stay longer, much longer. The hug made Pai make up his mind. He was going to do what Moss wanted. Having Sky by his side was much better than anything else. He wasn't going to confuse Sky any further. They separated and Pai said
" It's time to sleep Sky, tomorrow I'll make sure I return you to Rain."
" Thank you so much."
Pai led Sky to the room he would sleep in. It was Sky's room but he didn't know that. The room smelt familiar to him, but Sky couldn't remember anything so he just left it. He laid on the king's size bed fighting with his mind. He couldn't explain his thoughts. Pai returned with water and gave Sky to drink, placed his hand on his forehead and in no time he was asleep.
" I'll clear everything and come back, I promise." He left the room, bit his lower lip and left.

Payu followed suit before Rain could get to the ground he caught him. It was a high fall but he was quite fast. He saved him. He stood up to check on him. Rain was in bad condition. He jumped out without checking and had broken the window in the process. He was bleeding badly. Payu tried to heal him but it Rain didn't want him to touch him. He was battling with Payu at the back of the compound they were in. Rain begin to cry as his bleeding was not stopping. Payu held his hand " if you don't stop moving, I'll let you bleed till you drop dead." That was when Rain calmed down. Payu placed his hands on his head and was able to heal him to the amazement of Rain who had to ask " how are you doing that?" Payu answered
" I don't know but all I know is to keep you safe." Rain got a slight headache and got wobbly. Payu was there to catch him. He gave him a slight smile and set him down on the grass. He felt they were running out of time. It was already late and Rain didn't still know who he was. Payu had mixed feeling. He wasn't as upset as Prapai, but he wanted this resolved immediately so they could return to their normal lives.
He didn't trust Rain in his silly state. He really wanted Prapai to come so they could fix this together, because he was stuck as well. Prapai flew in after he finished talking and told Payu to take Rain home. Payu placed his hand on his head and he passed out. Payu took him home by teleportation and returned to Prapai
" So what's the brilliant plan you have?"
" I'm going to sleep with Moss." Payu took it in first, gave Prapai a slap on his face.
" Is Moss controlling you too?"
"No"
" So what type of a stupid plan is that? If you like him why didn't you say so." Prapai held Payu by his shirt and said
" I can never like him, not even when I'm dead. It's the only way we have to free Sky and Rain and I'll take it." Prapai let him go as Payu replied " So the only way he would free them is for you to sleep with him because he likes you or what?"
"Krap... That's about it."
" So why is Rain involved."
" Because he just wants his revenge on you. We are friends. He wants both of us to fall apart, but I feel there's more."
" Payu?"
" Huh?"
" You do know that we are going to have to tell Rain and Sky they slept together right, after this is all over."
" Can't we avoid it."
" I don't think so, they'll find out one way or another. And for what I'm about to do, I still have to tell Sky and it breaks me so much. Payu, I'm scared." He put his hands on Payu's and it was evident he was shaking. Prapai was about to cheat on Sky knowingly, although he knew they were not yet in a relationship but this was not how he envisioned how it would go. Prapai put both hands on his head, sat on the floor. Payu didn't even know how to comfort him. He saw the obligation to save lives but at what cost. His friend was going to give up his body for it.
" If it goes south, you know we can return to our realms with Sky and Rain right."
" But it doesn't change anything, we are still not in their memories, so it's still futile." Pai heaved. Prapai summoned courage and went inside, with Payu still at the backyard, he was going to wait till it was all over or anything happens.

Prapai got inside, with both hands in a surrender pose. He was giving himself up. Moss smiled and said " summon your sword and keep it aside, I don't want to be stabbed while making love to you."
" Moss, don't be delusional, I'm not making love to you, I am fucking you involuntarily."
" I'm a bit hurt by your words, but I'll survive because I'm the winner tonight. I brought a witness if you don't mind." Before Prapai could say anything, Sky came inside. He walked like he was in a daze, tired and weak and couldn't say a thing.
" You don't mind if he watches now do you."
" You bastard."
" I get turned on that way." With hot tears in Pai's eyes he said
" Moss, when this is all over, I will tear you limb from limb!"
" I'm waiting." Moss replied smiling.
