Chapter 51: Gaslighting.

Rain went straight home. He was quite confused to find a Payu standing by his door.
"Are you hurt? Are you okay?"
" Khun, I'm perfectly fine, just decided to have fun."
" At my expense? I was so worried."
" At your expense? Who are you again?"
" Rain, I've apologized, begged, what more do you want?"
" What I want you can't give it to me."
" Okay, tell me what it is first but can you stop calling me Khun, it drives me up the wall."
" P'Payu, why do you feel so entitled? You were in the wrong, and I don't forgive you." Rain needed to think fast. He looked at Payu and asked " do you have water in your place? I want to bath." The switch in the conversation made Payu nervous a bit but he didn't think much to it and said he did. Rain motioned for him to lead the way and he did. He staggered behind him but didn't want to be touched. On getting to his room. Rain took his clothes and went in to bath. He needed Payu attention so he screamed. Payu came rushing in. Rain had something in his eyes. He was standing in the shower. Payu came up and checked his eyes. Instantaneously,he was better. Payu was walking away when Rain asked " do you like what you see? Rain knew and Payu knew that the answer to that question would be yes. Payu folded his hand and left. He was bummed by the situation. He got a towel for Rain and kept it by the door. Payu went to change his shirt that was soaked from the bathroom. He was drenched. Payu took off his shirt. Rain came inside, stark naked. He requested for a towel, Payu wasn't thinking and turned around attempt to point to the direction of the towel but ended staring for longer than he should. His face became red. His mind was already turned but his face wasn't. Rain didn't react to this at all. He was supposed to go into the bathroom to wipe himself down, but he did it right in front of Payu. Payu had clothes Rain could change into but the little man jumped under the duvet after wiping down. Payu was facing the cupboard so he didn't see this. Rain covered all the way to his neck. Payu got into the bed as well after changing. Rain could easily go home but decided not to in his mind, there were no hard feelings between them.
Payu tossed and turned all night. It was like meeting and sleeping in the same bed with your crush, the emotions, the pent yo sexual tension, it all came into play. Rain didn't play it safe and after sometime rested his body on Payu. As much as Rain wanted revenge, he had missed the pleasure of sex, the rubbing of bodies, the heat, everything. So today was just him wanting to fulfill what his body desired. This was when Payu realised he was naked. His body knew what it wanted and under the duvet cover, he touched Rain and Rain let him. Rain wanted just his touches. They played like that till morning. Payu ended up sleeping. Rain stood up, wore his clothes and left the house to his. He took his bath and went straight to work. Payu woke up thinking he would find Rain there he reached out his hand, but there was no one there. He opened his eyes. Rain was gone. He put on his trousers and rushed to his house, knocking aggressively, he thought of teleporting in but withheld himself till he could hear the twisting of the door knob, Rain opened. " When did you leave?"
" Is that a good morning?"
" Sorry, my bad. Good morning, what time did you leave my house?"
" Your house? P'Payu, I didn't go to your house, maybe you hallucinated it."
" Rain, you were in my bed last night. You touched me, you hugged me."
" P'Payu, did you miss me that much to create false scenarios in your head. Yes I was drunk, yes I was tired. I don't even remember what I did myself, so probably just pulled your legs. I'm sorry, take it like one of those things."
" Rain!"
" Khaaabbb."
" Why are you doing this. Are you actually gaslighting me?"
" P'Payu, I'm not doing anything, if I don't remember last night, then it never happened. P'Payu, all of this is just a figment of your imagination, like magic."
" Rain, you win fine, you win. I messed up, I am wrong I shouldn't have said what I did please forgive me. I don't know which game you're playing but you win. Please forgive me. Huh? Nong Rain, please just pity me. You're driving me crazy. I can barely eat or sleep, I fucked up I know."
" P'Payu, I don't know what you're talking about but I'm not playing any games with you. If you can toss me aside anyhow you please because of a threat, I can do the same to you. Don't forget you have a date okay. I have to leave, can you move?" Payu got on his knees, he was desperate, shaking and overthinking everything. "I'm sorry, Rain, Nong Rain, Teerak, I'm sorry."

Rain locked his door. He turned to look at Payu again. He saw the marks he gave him from last night. They didn't have sex at all but the foreplay was enough to make anyone crawling to him. Payu got up and walked towards him.
" P'Payu, I need you to walk away now."
" Never. I love you."
" Okay. P'Payu, it's bad to love useless things." Rain left. It was never this difficult with him, but for some reason this time around, he felt like he was talking to a wall. Payu went back home. That was when he realized he didn't even wear a shirt. He was frustrated and punched the wall. He felt like killing someone, Priti. He was really suffering.
Rain went to work waiting for Payu. The whole day, he was gloomy. Didn't talk to anyone. Rain knew he was the cause of this but didn't mind. He gruffed so much people walked on eggshells around him the whole day. Rain was all smiles that day which further angered Payu.
Payu left on time and went to Prapai's office. He sat there frustrated. Prapai didn't even need to ask him as he could see what his problem was on his face.
" It's Rain isn't it?"
" Yup. Pai, I feel like I am going to explode."
" What exactly did you say to him?"
" I called him useless."
" Yours is better compared to mine. I called Sky a liability."
" What? Why?"
" It was the only thing I could think of then."
" The only thing? There were so many options to tell him, but you went with liability."
" I panicked, I panicked Payu and now he absolutely despises me. I even told him to hate me."

" But your fuck up is greater than mine."
