Chapter 53: Make Up

Rain smiled to the treatment he was receiving, it was warm. Payu a protector of a full realm, a man of so many abilities was massaging his feet. Rain leaned down and pecked him on the cheek. Payu was willing to go all out for Rain, sacrifice his time and prioritize him in all things. He was deeply in love and he didn't need to know that reason Rain was angry, he just accept he was at fault. He wasn't going to argue with him, he wasn't going to stress him at all. Dating an Immortal was already hectic as it is , adding more problems would weigh Rain down. Payu carried Rain and set him down to sleep on his bed. Payu covered him and was ready to leave the room. Rain called him back and for the first time in a long time, they slept in each other's arms. Rain wrapped his hands around Payu finding the most comfortable sleeping position.

Sky didn't know, he didn't know anything because as usual Prapai refused to tell him. He was dwelling on guilt, guilt that for so long he couldn't do anything to help his lover. He let Sky get hurt, beat down and torn to shreds several times and he couldn't do anything about it. With every passing day he had the thought;  am I good for him?
This thought ate Prapai daily. When Sky experienced the kidnapping and he couldn't hear him or feel him, Prapai felt so powerless, how could Sky be in love with someone who was this weak. It was easier conquering nations as love was a lot harder. It was one person. He couldn't control how he felt. The thought that he brought problems to Sky's life ate him deeper. Sky deserved better and if it meant pushing him to another person, he was willing to do it. Prapai's love was sacrificial but that was not what Sky wanted. Sky wanted a man to stand with him, be by him, a person willing to face the world with him but Prapai didn't want to be this person for him or just was avoiding something. He wanted him, badly and he understood why he was doing this. 
Sky went home thinking of all the times Prapai pushed him away. He is supposed to be immortal, why is he such a coward? Sky thought. On arriving home, he got a package on his front porch. Sky picked it up and went inside. He took the box to his room and opened it. It was from Praew. He didn't even check the contents and trashed it. He laid on the bed and screamed into his pillow. He was so angry but couldn't do anything about it. Why did Prapai not understand anything at all? He was like a person speaking to a wall. He went to Prapai's door and stood there waiting for Prapai to return, he needed to clear his chest from all the unspoken words that he knew Prapai needed to hear, he was going to give him a piece of his mind and heart He waited and waited and ended up sleeping on his bed. Prapai didn't return home that night, sleeping on his couch in the office. Sky woke up the next morning unable to get up. His temperature was quite high is he just stayed in bed. He was in bad shape as he was shivering. He crawled to the next room and called Rain. His number was unreachable. He called severally but no answer. He needed to call someone and fast. He called his secretary and informed her to get to his house immediately. Pai had called for a major meeting with some shareholders. Prapai who called for the meeting was already seated waiting for every other person to come. He had his eyes set out for one particular person not he was no where to be found. The meeting began and Prapai was still looking around for Sky, he was never late to the office. Eventually his secretary came in and apologized that he wouldn't be around. She turned to leave and Prapai stood up and said " the meeting has been canceled, we need the Director to be around." He walked out of the room with everyone bowing. When he got to where the secretary was,  he asked her to follow him to his office.
" Where's Sky?"Prapai asked impatiently.
" He called in sick and told me to come to his house sir" It was only a little restrain Prapai had that made him not disappear that exact moment. He told her to leave his office that he would go to Sky himself. She was reluctant a bit but eventually agreed. She was not aware of the relationship between her boss and the CEO as it was none of her business. Prapai went downstairs to his car and took it out for a spin. Even he got to a certain place where no one was, he parked and teleported home. Once he saw Sky  he ran to him. He was in his room
" Sky, are you okay?"
" P'Pai, I don't feel so good inside." With No questions asked, Prapai touched his arm and tried healing him. It didn't work. He did it again and nothing happened. It was not because he was powerless far from it, there was just something blocking it. Prapai held Sky in his arms. " I'm sorry okay, we will find a cure for this."

Rain woke up, he was so restless all through the night. The first thing he did when he woke up was to throw up. Payu instantly woke up " Rain, what's wrong ? Huh?"
The panic was on his face. Payu was terrified. That was when he looked up and saw the one half of the Immo Plant. It needed to be removed. After summoning Prapai and Payu, the plant fully developed. It was not for human carriage so it needed to be taken out. As a human needs food, that is how the plant takes food too. It's not meant to be hosted by anyone. After the summoning, it started feasting on Sky and Rain from the inside. It was a race against time to get it out. They all had to go to Carityl and call for the The Lord's Protector head which was Moss' Father. Prapai carried Sky and took him to Carityl where the Plant was spoilt. A fear gripped him, what if the plant gets extracted and he gets banned from seeing Sky. Prapai concluded that he would drop dead. The realization of everything he had been doing hit him all at once. " Why didn't I reconcile? What was I pretending for? Sky, I'm tired of saying sorry to you because I keep making you  suffer because of me."
" And did I ever complain? Prapai, you came and changed my life for the better. I want my Prapai back though."
" Which one?"
" The fearless one." Sky began to shiver. He wrapped him up tightly. Prapai brought Sky to his home in Carityl. He knew if this was happening to Sky then it would be happening to Rain as well. Immediately he arrived, he sent a messenger to get The Protector.
Payu was so afraid. He needed to take Rain to Carityl at once. He brought him there and saw Prapai with Sky. Prapai looked across from him and saw Payu. That was when he remembered the battles he fought with Payu and how their fight led them to the people they were so in love with. Prapai finally broke down and started crying. It was silent sobs but it was on his face. Meeting Sky was the greatest blessing of his life. If after all of these they are unable to meet. It would be horrible. The messenger came back Prapai didn't see The Protector with him and asked
" Where is he?"
" He told me to tell you sirs, that you should bear with him, he's having his pedicure session and after that his bath, so he would be unable to make it. He also said that death is inevitable for humans, what is one death compared to the many lives you've saved."
" He said that? Payu asked
" Yes,my Lord, he said he's not coming and you should watch your loved ones die."
