Chapter 26: My Breaking Point

Moss called Sky to inform him that he was going on a trip for a long time because he had important clients to attend to abroad. Sky informed Rain about it himself the very next day.
Moss arrived Carityl and listened to everything the people of the town were saying about Prapai, he liked that he had gone back to being unhappy and unmotivated, A heartless person. Moss needed this, he wanted to be the person who made Prapai smile again. Creeping into his life.
Moss bought snacks and took it to Prapai's house, he knocked but no one answered so he waited a bit and knocked again. Prapai eventually heard from his room and came downstairs to meet the uninvited guest. Immediately he saw it was Moss, Prapai held him by his neck and lifted him above the ground with his legs dangling
" Have you come here to kill me the way you killed Priscilla." Moss was suffocating,he was finally able to mutter the words
" Pea...ce I came.... for... Peace."
Prapai had no intention of letting Moss go as his grip was firm. He could see he was about to pass out before he finally let him go. Moss knelt on the ground, coughing heavily and breathing loudly too. Prapai was still a scary protector and he needed to thread carefully. Prapai stared him eyeball to eyeball and asked "What do you want?" Moss who could barely talk spoke up and said " I want you and Payu to forgive me... I acted out of foolishness and jealously, I didn't think it would get as bad as it did." Prapai had his fist out, he was really going to punch Moss, but stopped at the last second.
" You told them to kill her, you Moss, you did that. There's no forgiving you and I want you out of my sight now."
" What do I have to do for you to forgive me? tell me? I'll do it."
" Die. I'll forgive you when you die." Moss felt cold shivers down his spine. Prapai was willing to sleep with him when Sky was involved but now it was clear that he would never be close to Prapai ever again. That was the closest he could ever be. He couldn't even threaten him with Sky as Prapai didn't know who Sky was anymore and he couldn't use Payu as Payu would want his head too. Moss had lost on both ends. Prapai shut his door behind him and said
" The next time we see, I would not be so merciful. I'll cut you limb from limb." Moss' voice became shaky as he asked
" Do you hate me that much?"
This time there was silence, as Moss turned to go, Prapai opened the door and said " Moss, I despise you, I detest your existence, vermin like you do not need to live. You sicken me to my core." Prapai said this looking straight at Moss. For some reason he just felt so angry and despised Moss. Something else made him speak the way he did and he was sure it was not only because of Priscilla. He turned and went inside. Moss fell to his knees again, he felt his world crumble. He had perfectly crafted his plans. He went to the Council that day to rat Prapai and Payu out to get a clean slate. He was sure the Lord Council would do it, seeing how much she loved Prapai and Payu. But the later outcome he didn't predict. He wanted Prapai for himself, the soft eyes he looked at Sky, he wanted it for himself too, he was only able to get a glimpse of it but now Sky was no longer in the picture so there was no soft Prapai, no Prapai willing to sacrifice for Sky, no Prapai willing to give up his body and life for another. He was stuck with the untouchable Prapai. Moss put both hands on his head, he had lost woefully and there was no helping him. His unhappy look turned to resentment " All because of Sky and Rain. If they don't exist to you, then I can make them disappear to me." Moss' mind was made up, he was to kill Sky and Rain, and blame in on natural causes.

The Lord Council, heard the last case involving Prapai and Payu. She felt responsible for everything and said " At the time I took their memories away, I thought I was making the right choice, but now, I pushed my enemy in and threw my friends out." Her hands trembled as she clasped them together to prevent them from shaking uncontrollably. She thought long and hard and made up her mind. She needed to check something.
She left her chambers and decided to go to the human realm dressed as a human, she changed her countenance to that of a young lady. She went straight to Rain's restaurant and ordered for pasta. Rain prepared it and served it to her as she requested that the owner of the place be her server. When it was time to bring her tea, Rain took it upon himself to serve her. As he got close to her table she said " Payu misses you." The tray on Rain's hand fell to the ground as he stood there mortified. Rain didn't move a muscle. He just kept looking at her. She had gotten the answer she was looking for, she apologized to Rain and before he could say anything she paid and left. Rain was still there till P'Tai taped him. He felt like he was hypnotized. He apologized to everyone and ran out thinking he could find her, but he was not able to. "P...ay...u..." The ground felt wobbly under him so he held a pole beside him. The name rang so many bells but he couldn't remember where. He went back inside and for the rest of the day he was not himself. Rain felt lost.

She changed her outfit to that of a formal one and went to Sky's office. She made an appointment to see him and waited for three hours before she was let in as Sky had several meetings to attend to.
" Ma, you have just twenty minutes as he has another meeting after this."  She nodded and said
" I need just five minutes only."
She smiled as she entered. She could finally see Sky up close and what came out of her mouth was " handsome."  She saw herself slipping and had to retrace. The same thing happened earlier with Rain as she looked at him and said " you're my definition of a pretty boy." To which Rain laughed to and thanked her. Now she was staring at a man who had a well chiseled jawline and the prettiest eyes she ever saw. She has to say internally Prapai and Payu looked for the most handsome men they could find and made their home. She said this on her mind. She looked at Sky so much and looked at the Immo plant. It looked stunted. Moss had promised that he would make sure the Immo plant grew so they could harvest it, but it was stunted, just like Rain's.
" Please can you state your business, I have another meeting."
" Of course. I came here to inform you they my boss wanted to do business with you."
" What's the name of this boss of yours?"
" It's Prapai sir." Sky dropped his phone and looked at her instantly trembling. He staggered back a bit. He tried to regain composure but ended up shedding a tear. She saw it. Sky quickly cleaned up and apologized. Before she could continue,his secretary came in telling him the next set of people had come so he needed to go for the next meeting immediately to which he nodded. He apologized to her and led her out.
She went to the packing lot. She stayed there for hours before she caught a glimpse of Sky again going to his car. He placed his head on his steering. She knew there and then. She appeared back at Rain's restaurant to see him with his head placed on the table.
Before she asked Moss to wipe their memories, Moss had told her that Payu and Prapai used mind control to take advantage of both men, but she was so wrong
" They were in love... They loved themselves and I scattered it just with hearsay. Priscilla, I messed up big time." She knew she had made a grave mistake Prapai and Payu's name were not meant to trigger anything if it was mind control.
