Chapter 75: Another Scare

The bracelet fell from Sky's hand and broke. Prapai looked at Sky and he looked back at him
" P'Pai, it's clear, I'm unfit for you."

Rain was perfectly fine. He walked up to Payu.
" Can we return to Thailand?"
" Is that what you want?"
" Yes, as much as this trip was fun I think we need to return home, I need us to return home to our comfort zone. I can't live too far away and we've done that for months. I want us to return."
" Rain, I don't think it's the right time for us to do that. We have a lot of work cut out for us when we return, and this time is meant for us to recuperate and get better."
" For how long P'Payu? It's nice to have a vacation, it's nice to be away, it's nice to not be bothered but how long will it last? How many more people will she hurt. I loved this fantasy we've created wanting to be independent and stay away from everyone but babe, how long will it last? I want all of this to be over and done. I think Sky would like this too. We can't run away from our problems as much as we want to? What if she goes to Arityl and causes a commotion? babe, we have to return." Rain sat beside Payu at the edge of the bed. There's was no space between them.
" And besides we can be together and enjoy each other's company. We can't run forever."
" Rain, I've never seen you this fearless before."
" That's because I've got a man willing to fight anything and anyone to keep me safe. I have nothing to fear." Payu smooched Rain's cheek with kisses when he eventually stopped
" Didn't know when my man became so responsible."
" Hey, what does that supposed to mean?"
" You're the best. That's what it means, and that will never change. So when do you intend leaving here?"
" Tomorrow or next but soon. If she's expecting us, I think we need to be ready."
" Okay next tomorrow will be good. I need you to follow me somewhere, it's important."
" Okay. Can you tell me where?"
" No, it's my little secret."
" Fine."
After they had another adventure together, they went back to Thailand. Rain didn't follow Payu home as he went straight to the restaurant. Everyone welcomed him back. He was just happy that it was still thriving.
" P'Tai what did I miss while I was away?"
" Well, a lady came here constantly looking for you."
" What did she want?"
" She didn't say. Boss I have bad news too."
" What again?"
" Cher had been released?"
" Wh.....yyyy? What happened for them to release that maniac?"
" No evidence? They said they had no evidence to prove that he did what he did so he was released."
" Did they forget? They investigated at my house. What's going on? I'll be right back, I need to get my phone, can I get my keys?"
" Of course." P'Tai was the only person Rain trusted in the human realm apart from Sky. He was well informed about his life and knew about him dating Payu and the Cher conflict. He protected Rain as best he could to keep him safe. Rain got his keys and went home, he unlocked the door and ran to his phone. He turned it on and noticed it had been in use by Priscilla. She really acted as him pretty well. Then he checked recent messages and saw Cher's
" See you soon baby!" Rain froze. There had only been few times Rain was genuinely scared and everytime he was, it was about  Cher. Even Priscilla didn't scare him that much. He had shared a bed with Cher and this man had tried to kill him. Rain trembling arranged the house. He instantly called Sky who was also dealing with not such a good experience. He left the inn and told Pai not to follow him or call him. He stayed elsewhere sobbing. When Rain called, Sky picked up instantly. He wanted to tell a joke but hearing Rain's voice on the phone he sat up. " Rain, what's wrong."
" It's Cher?"
" What about him?"
" He's back, in full force and I'm pretty sure this time hell kill me."
" Rain, I need you to calm down and tell me what happened." Rain narrated everything. And Sky could feel chills. Cher was one scary fellow. He was not to be messed around with at all.
" Rain, can you do me a favour and check my house. Call me back when you do."
" Okay."
" Please be careful."
" Sky why do you also sound the way you do?"
" P'Pai doesn't love me enough. The bracelet broke off my hand. It's not my fault so it's clearly him."
" Did you talk to him about it?"
" No need. I don't want to waste my time. Just go check for me okay."
" Okay, I'll send P'Payu."
" Thank you."
They both hung up and Rain went to Payu and begged him. Payu left and Rain stayed in his apartment. He locked the door behind him.
Payu noticed he was fidgety but didn't want to ask till he returned and Rain already promised he will tell him what's up. Before he went to the house, he stopped by the shop and met with P'Tai who broke down everything to him. Payu nodded and knew he needed to get home. On reaching Pai and Sky's house, he saw it was smeared with red paint. On the wall was written I'M BACK in bold font. Payu felt the atmosphere. It wasn't really good. Something bad was coming, really bad. He teleported back home, unfortunately he didn't observe that he had been caught on video. Sky's ex smiled from the tower he was watching and said
" Evidence."
Payu returned home to Rain who was crouched down. He held him in his arms
" P'Payu, Priscilla is out to destroy us."
" Babe trust me I'll protect us in the best of my ability, you'll never be alone."
" Can you tell me what you saw at Sky's house?" Payu narrated to him.
" Call Sky and tell him."
" I will."
" The bracelet broke on Sky's wrist."
" How?" Payu shouted in horror.
" I don't know, Sky called me and told me, what does that mean?"
" One person is not being genuine. And it's most likely Pai."
" How?
" If it's Sky, the bracelet won't break, he would disappear and won't be summoned.  But if it's Pai, it would break."
" So does that mean P'Pai doesn't really love Sky?
" Rain, something is really awry and the quicker we solve it, the better for us."
Payu called Sky and told him the house situation. Sky listened attentively before going back to meet Pai. " We need to return ASAP!"
" Can you just talk to me?"
" No! I think we would have been just fine if I didn't have this stupid bracelet. Let's just go. Not to our main house but to the other house. The one close to Rain."
" Sky can we at least talk about it, you're being unreasonable. "
" I'm being unreasonable? Take this then, once all this is over, I'm breaking up with you.
