Chapter 31: A Little Price

Prapai let Sky lay on him for the longest time. Sky eventually woke up. His brownish eyes looking at his lover who he forgot for three years. To him it felt like just yesterday. He looked at him closely. He wore a shirt and shorts. Prapai was really handsome. Sky gulped looking at him, he wriggled his way out of his grip and went downstairs to cook. It was something simple but he wanted it to be his own delicacy for Pai. He took his bath ready for work, went upstairs and gave him a peck on his cheek before leaving. Sky had a lot of messages on his phone and he needed to answer them all. He dropped Prapai's phone beside the bed. It had always been with him, but he never knew who it belonged to. He contemplated throwing it away. But now he remembered he knew exactly where it was meant to be. He left a note by the bed and disappeared. In the last three years Sky bought another car. The one Prapai rode with him, he found himself unable to drive it. He felt he needed to be driven by someone. As it was impossible to remember who, he was left feeling unworthy of the car and had to park it. He serviced it regularly but never drove it. Like a dream Prapai was in his mind again. It was like he never left, there was no gap. His mind felt complete but absent at the same time. Sky could not explain. He rushed to the office he had been absent from for days. Explained how he was unwell. Answered all the questions in the meeting. His secretary asked about the boss and Sky told her he would be there soon. Their memories were back. Sky felt trapped in his head. Trying to calculate the time lost. He wanted to return home but he was really confused. He needed to see Rain.
He closed early and went to Rain's Cafe. He was so shocked to  see Rain. They hugged like they had never seen each other since the incident. It was such a heart warming moment as Rain and Sky found themselves crying. Sky turned and saw Payu. He hugged him as well. " We aged and you didn't." Sky said this looking at Payu. Sky didn't have much time as he needed to return back to work. " Meet me at home by 6pm, no excuses. We need to talk about what happened to us."
" Is Prapai back to you?"  Payu asked, to which Sky found strange and replied " should he not?" Payu shook his head and said
" See you by 6." Sky nodded and left the Cafe. He drove straight home. It was already 4. He called his secretary and told her that he was still feeling ill. He drove to Prapai.
Prapai woke up thinking he was having a fever dream with Sky right beside him. He checked Sky's room and noticed it was empty. When he returned downstairs, he found the food and a note" you better eat or I'll shove the food down your throat" he knew immediately it was from Sky. Does he remember who I am or...  Prapai thought. He ate the meal with tears in his eyes. When he was done, he washed the dishes and took a shower. He needed to see Sky. He went outside and saw the car. Everything was intact. Sky drove to his office. He was greeted with the accolade of a CEO. He knew everyone remembers him on earth now. He asked about Sky and was informed he had left the office and was going home. Prapai ran to his car and drove home. He got there before Sky. He drove into the compound and waited to Sky. He took off his shoes as he waited patiently. Sky got into the compound and on sighting Prapai, he immediately stopped the car got out and ran to him. Prapai who looked at the car coming in and couldn't bear his excitement. Prapai stood up stretched out his arms, Sky ran into them. Sky wrapped his hands around Prapai's neck. He couldn't believe it. Prapai lifted Sky from off the ground and twirled him around like he was a feather. Sky wrapped his legs around Pai. He couldn't believe it. His dreams for the past three years was right in front of him. He had gone to therapy and his therapist had told him he was too into his imaginations that it came into real life. Only if he could tell her that his hallucinations were real and right in front of him. Prapai eventually dropped him but Sky didn't let go. Prapai touched his face. He wanted to be sure he was not dreaming. Sky placed his hand on Prapai's wrists and said
" Touch me, I'm as real as you are, I'm back to you P' Pai... I'm back."
" Sky... My Sky... Mine." Prapai broke down and so did Sky. Their joy was immeasurable. They got inside, staring at each other. They needed not say anything. Their desires spoke for themselves. When they were seated on the couch. Pai hugged Sky and finally held the back of his head drawing him closer and as his lips got closer, he kissed him. It was a longing kiss. It was something he had wanted to do for so long. Sky reciprocated as they kissed till they were both out of breath. Before they could continue, the door bell rang and Payu and Sky were already at the door. They opened to let them in.
The reunion was quite nice , they spoke for a very long time, talking about what they had missed and how everything had been. Payu and Prapai excused Rain and Sky as they needed to talk. Prapai took Payu to the swimming pool at the back of the house. And they began to talk
" Payu, I messed up."
" What did you do."
" Moss used my sword to stab Sky."
" WHAT? HOW? AND HOW IS HE STILL ALIVE?"
"I got punished to keep him alive."
Payu held onto Prapai's shirt, he felt an awry chill and he did not like it as he asked
" What is the Dream Lord's Punishment. TELL ME?"
" I can't, I have to bear this on my own."
" Prapai? Please tell me? So if I can help, I'll do something."
" I can't, I'll have to take my punishment for three months only."
" Prapai? What is it?"
" Payu don't push it please. I'll make it. But if I don't..."
" If you don't what? Prapai,what did you do? Please tell me? I beg you." Payu placed his hands on his head. He knew whatever it was it was serious as Prapai told him everything. Prapai sighed and continued as his eyes were red
" I guess I love him more than my thousand years."
" PRAPAI WHAT DID YOU DO? "  Payu was frantic.
" Keep Sky safe for me okay."
" PRAPAI!!!" Payu's voice echoed as he fell for his knees. He placed his hand over his head. The only friend he has ever known was Prapai. He walked a thousand years and more with him. But was Sky worth it. He thought, but remembered he would do the same for Rain, so he understood him.
Prapai put his head in the water and brought it out to appear like they played and his head got wet and his eyes were red.
They went back inside. All four of them played games till it was late. Prapai checked the time. He needed to leave. Payu got up with Rain as they left the house. Prapai escorted Sky to his room as he took his shower. He gave him a kiss on his forehead and went to his room. He shut the door and collapsed on the floor. Sky got out of the bathroom didn't see Prapai. He went downstairs and found it empty. He knocked on his room door and Prapai answered
" I'm a bit busy, when I'm done I'll meet you in the room." Sky laughed at this and said
" Just open the door, I promise I wouldn't be embarrassed."
The pain came, overshadowing Prapai. He didn't respond. Sky stood there then said " I'll be waiting then."
