Chapter 46: I didn't Ask For This!

As both men stared up at the sky sitting outside in the night Rain exclaimed " love is frugal. It's a memory that just keeps hurting everytime."
" Do you miss him?
" Every day, don't you?"
" I do too, but even if they return... I don't think... I... can continue with him."
" Why... Sky?"
" He loves me, he's with me. He didn't feel it, he leaves me. I can't keep up Rain, I just can't. We should find a way to settle what's up and get the connection we need to find the person that kidnapped us. He has the answers we are looking for."
" I'm asking around underground, but it seems like this person doesn't exist. Could be another Protector."
" Possibly but we really need to find him." They both relaxed before Rain asked.
"Ai Sky?"
" Yes?"
" What will you do when you finally see P'Pai."
" I'll make him crawl, suffer for always putting me in the dark. I discovered the sacrifice he made because of me from another person. I won't let that happen again."
" So what's your plan."
" It's simple. I'll torture him with love."
" I have the exact same plan for P'Payu." They both laughed away their sorrows. Rain and Sky became compadres again but there was something significantly different. They were robotic. A part of them was taken away and they didn't even know how or where. Sky only found comfort in Rain's company as they tried to move on together. It was better this time as they shed fewer tears and Rain was able to sleep well at night. This wasn't the case for Prapai and Payu at all.
When they returned to The Heavenly Realm, they became anxious. They had been summoned back to the heavenly Realm as Priti had told the Council that since Prapai and Payu were incompetent at handling the task of extracting the  Immo Plant, he would take full responsibility. The Council had initially declined this request but Priti made sure they accepted. He showed he was capable and flexible. He achieved more within a few months than Moss had done all through his stay on Earth. He really was effective. All of these contributed to why he became the sole protector of Earth. He raised a point " why does Prapai and Payu have to live on Earth protecting a realm that is not even theirs. I have proved myself to all of you that I am capable. I have no jurisdiction to do anything in Arityl or Carityl, why should they be allowed to on Earth. They should return to their realms."
" And what about the Plant?" A Council member asked.
" I'll handle that. Prapai and Payu should return home."
The Council agreed that a messenger should be sent to them but Priti told them he would deliver the message. Then he went to Arityl. He got the sleeping plant and left. He monitored them as closely as he could then slipped the plant in their drinks. He added only a small quantity so they would wake up earlier. He controlled the people at the restaurant and they carried them to Prapai's room. He sent a minion to kidnap them. He also told the person to answer his name too and told the minion to make it look conspicuous.  so they'll have no choice but to get hurt. After Rain and Sky jumped out. The minion called back to tell Priti that they were pretty badly injured as he watched them from afar. Priti was in the same room with Prapai and Payu he wanted to check how receptive they were to Rain and Sky. It was obvious when they twitched. Their bodies could sense they were in trouble but they could not do anything about it because of the plant. Priti had brainwashed everyone present to see only what he wants them to. The next day, Rain had returned to the hotel to look for Payu and was told he stepped out that he should wait for him. Rain waited for two hours and had yo return back to the hospital. The dropped a message with the receptionist telling her to give it to Payu when he gets back. He was told Prapai was upstairs after sometime. He went into his room and saw a lady getting dressed to leave. Prapai was still sleeping. Rain placed both hands on his mouth as the woman walked passed him. A lot had happened in one night. He saw that Prapai cheated on Sky. He knew all about this but did not mention it to Sky once. He was still hopeful that it was because they were drunk that was why but it didn't justify why Prapai did that to Sky. He kept quiet about it and when it was time to go to the hotel with Sky, they were stopped at the reception and told Prapai and Payu had returned home. They both left. That evening Prapai and Payu came to. Their heads were spinning but they were fine. They saw Phiti and the first thing he said to them was " an eye for an eye. I'll just revenge Moss a bit. No hard feelings."
" What did you do?" Payu asked raging.
" The Council said I should bring both of you home. They also said you've been given three days to cut all ties with Rain and Sky. You're not to be accessed permission to Earth anymore as I would be taking care of them and also you are not to tell them the reason for your departure."  Priti vanished leaving a confused Prapai and Payu. They have both suffered at the hands of these brothers but now Priti turned out to be more deadly. He was not physically involved but pulled the strings from behind. They were both going to hurt their loved ones badly but this time, it would hurt far more. Prapai saw his would collapse. The world he had managed to build with Sky. The world that revolved around him. He made Sky his world.
Payu on the other hand sat on the floor. He did not get up. He stayed there for hours contemplating what he would do. He knew not telling Rain would break him but telling him would be far worse as he would be unable to see him. He remembered he twitched in his dream so he knew something bad had happened. He disappeared and returned home. Just then, Rain came to see him. Seeing the bruises and everything. He was about to lose self control as the urge to hug him outweighed his sense of duty in that moment. He looked at his love, his everything and was about to forget everything until he saw someone watching from the lobby. He knew who it was and maintained.
He was struggling. Prapai had it harder as Sky ran and gave him a hug. He stayed for a moment relishing his boyfriend's soft body on his knowing it was the last time he would feel this. After all the drama, Prapai and Payu returned home to the dullness that was their life.
Prapai would sometimes after crying silently say " Is it too much to be happy? I didn't ask for any of this. I just deserve my happiness. Is it too much to ask."
This came days after him and Payu had entreated the Council and begged on their knees. The Council refused. The Council head  was away fighting a battle that could last a long time. All four men were truly suffering

Sky thought long and hard and came to a resolution. He was losing his mind. Initially he assumed he would be fine without Prapai, but he couldn't let anyone else touch him, not even jokingly. What really made him realise was when he went to a bar. Someone there offered to buy him a drink. He appreciated and drank it. The person tried to make passes at him. He didn't think much about it till he was asked if he had someone in his life to which he responded yes to. He had said it nonchalantly but got angry after he did and left the bar. He caused Prapai for giving him heaven and taking it away from him. The next day, he was typing then a thought came to his head. He left his office running and went to Rain. It was quite late in the night and Rain was closing up lazily. " Rain, I have something very crazy to say but just listen okay."
" Sky, I'm too tired."
" What if I tell you that we can get our boyfriend's back."
" Sky, I know you miss him, but don't start acting crazy because of him."
"I'm already crazy and on edge. If I don't see him one more day Rain I'll really lose it so can you listen to me?"
" Fine, what's up?"
" Let's summon them."
" What?"
" Let's summon P'Pai and P'Payu here."
" How?"
" P'Payu told me once that they get summoned to any meeting because they are Protectors and...."
" How did you and P'Payu talk to that extent that you would talk about things this intimate? Are you guys doing..."
" Rain if you finish that statement, I'll finish you off."
" I'm sorry continue."
" As I was saying before the cockroach interrupted."
"I'm not a cockroach."
" Rain, Focus. " Sky said. He whispered something to Rain. They both walked out of the shop and went to a quiet alley. Rain nodded and. Sky followed they stood there and held hands as  they shouted
" I CALL FOR A LORD'S PROTECTOR COUNCIL!"
