Chapter 2: Unfortunate

Priscilla was the glue that held the friendship together. Payu and Prapai had opposite views to life, but that was what made them closer. Priscilla was sent to the human’s realm. She was such a good protector. When there was a Lord's Council, she saw it as an opportunity to see her brothers again. They all took a long time to return back because she loved being with them. Unfortunately, she fell in love with a human.

Prapai and Payu were well prepared for their journey to the human realm but they made sure to get everything they needed. Prapai protested that if he was going to the human realm, they should be given good identities, not one they had to struggle to live and be incapable of eating and be left to the mercy of the streets. Payu just wanted to get it over with. He had a plan and he was going to execute it once they arrive the human realm.
The Protector had listened to their request and was ready to execute them. He made Prapai a man that just had a lot of money and had a nice house. As for Payu, he gave him a large restaurant.
They were ready to descend. They were given strict rules to abide by. They were most happy with the fact that their powers were still intact. On arriving earth, they landed on their respective properties. It was still afternoon and the weather was quite unfriendly as it was about to rain. Payu headed out in search for Rain. He found the name quite peculiar as he has remembered when he was still at Carityl, when the name was mentioned to him, he was expecting a water god or someone who would be able to control the elements. He was quite disappointed when he found out it was just human names. He made a request when he began his search for Rain
“show me the Immo plant I'm connected to.”
A white light appeared that formed a rope. Payu held it and he followed it. No other person saw it except him. Payu was determined to find the person. He had a devious idea in his head. When he eventually did, the scene in front of him broke him. The man had just been fired and was begging to get his job back. He was left outside the café. He stood there with his head bent not knowing what to do. He turned with his head bent, and bumped into Payu. He didn't bother looking up and turned away after apologizing. Payu looked at the man the rope was tied around his waist and was very disappointed. He looked weak and helpless. Before he could approach the man, he was already walking towards the road with his head still bent. A car was coming. Payu didn't know what to do, he wanted him to die so he could die too, but he didn't want him to die, at least not this way. So he quickly ran into the road, calling the ma“ Rain? Rain?” but there was no reply, so he opted to lift him by his waist across his shoulder and run with him to the other side. Rain couldn't even properly process what had just happened. He was conflicted and thrown aback. When he regained proper thought, he asked “ Why did you help me?”
The man replied “ Shouldn't I have?”
Rain replied with a smile on his face “ people tend to ignore me, I think I made a huge mistake in my past life, because the world is so cruel to me.” Before Payu could answer, Rain crouched down and was about to sob, when Payu quickly thought out something
“ Come work at my restaurant, it's new but I promise to pay well.”
Rain eyes widened. He had struggled for everything he had in life, and now and opportunity was presenting itself to him without him pleading or making an application “ Are you a scam? How many people havme you scammed?” Rain b back, properly analysing the man.bnnbnn
“ If I wanted to scam you, I wouldn't go this far. My restaurant is over there.” Rain was still skeptical and asked him to lead the way. Payu obliged by nodding his head. And took Rain to the restaurant.

Prapai didn't bother looking for Sky. He went to the house he got and lay there. For three days, he was basking in the luxurious life he was given. The Protector for two straight days appeared to him and told him to look for Sky. He refused. He wanted what he was getting. The Protector came and begged again, but Prapai was persistent with his desire not to see Sky or know who he was. Little did they know that he was afraid. He wasn't going to get attached again and get hurt in the process. Prapai thought about his life plans his ambitions and everything he wanted to achieve. He was going to return to Carityl without any responsibility holding him down. On the evening of the third night, Something pricked his heart and held it tightly. The cup in his hand fell and broke. He fell to the ground. The next thing he heard was “ find Sky”
The pain was unbearable so he summoned the rope. Unlike Payu who was patient enough to walk, Prapai wasn't so subtle. He disappeared and appeared where Sky was. He saw him fending off some hoodlums who were trying to take a small child. The mother was already unconscious and he was the only one there. He was shouting for help. People clearly saw what was happening as they were either walking past or pretending they were blind. Sky had gotten himself badly beaten and Prapai could tell that this was the reason his heart was aching. He saw the rope around his waist and the Immo plant above his head. He planned on not getting involved but the more he stayed on the sidelines, the more Sky was getting beat up. He was quite resolute. After getting hit, he would get back up again. Over and over and over. Prapai was impressed by this. Anytime Sky got hit, Prapai felt it but for some unknown reason, he didn't take action. He turned and wanted to walk away, until he heard his heart talk. “ Help me!”
Prapai had not made an emotional decision since the battle  years ago. His feelings were locked up till now. He glanced at Sky, closed his eyes and shouted
“ If you don't leave him alone, I'll make sure your last supper is your own flesh.”
They all turned to look at the man who was hiding in the shadows. Sky looked at him as well and said “ Run, save yourself. These men are dangerous.” Prapai smiled like a maniac. In Carityl, he had a name “ The Mard Lord.”
This was given by his enemies who feared him and heard of all the scary things he had done. He looked at the five men in front of him. They all brought out their weapons. And ran towards Prapai. Prapai saw a dark alley by the corner of the place they were and went in there so Sky would not see what was happening. As he backed up to  the alley, the men followed suit. Prapai rendered each of them blind, he bound them together, and gave them realistic nightmares. They felt like they were watching VCRs but it was real. Their screams could be heard but there was no saving them. They messed with the wrong Lord. Prapai left them there and went to Sky. That was when he noticed he was dying. The people he desperately fought for the mother and her child, had run away leaving him to fend for himself. Broken and battered, he still muttered a word “ thank you.” This sent shivers all over Prapai. It was a feeling he hadn't felt before so he fell to the ground. He looked at Sky with the most confused expression and asked
“ Who are you?”
