Chapter 24: The Lord's Council

Prapai was going to strike Moss where it hurt the most. He was prepared to go all out. In no distant time all the protector council arrived. Payu came in as well, it took him minutes, when he say Prapai was the one that called for the Council, he had a cheeky smile on his face. He knew Moss would be a dead man if he came and presented himself. All the Immortals were present but Moss. Prapai faced the crowd and said." We will only begin when Moss comes, he's important."
They waited for two hours, but he was no where to be found. The Lord's Council members were agitated, one member of the Protector's Council was making them wait like they had nothing better to do. A lady stood up and said " Can someone send somebody to drag Moss here, we have better things to do."
That was Prapai and Payu's time to speak up. Prapai stepped forward and spoke up
"A grave act has been committed against me Protector of Carityl and Payu, Protector of Arityl. We command the two parts of the Heavenly Realm. All of you are well aware of our mission sent to Earth and how important this mission was. Make sure the Immo Plants in Sky and Rain reaches a certain level and harvests them. Which we have been doing unfailingly." This got a lot of murmurs from all available who were willing to listen to all he had to say. Prapai knew he had gotten their undivided attention and continued " Moss tried several times to kill us, mind controlled both parties, sent men to kill me and Payu who tried his hardest and best to avert his attacks. There was only so much he could do as Moss used them against us."
Now the faces of all present were agitated. The Lord Protector stood up and asked " Moss had been one to dictate so many things so I'm sure he has a reasonable explanation for everything he had done."
One person stood up and objected
" So if I want to hurt you now, it's justified because it's me?"
" No that's not what I'm trying to say."  The Lord Protector tried to refute his statement but his message was already passed, everyone gave him the stink eye. Prapai and Payu were loving everything happening. They knew about how much the Lord Protector liked Moss and how he could bend backwards on his account. They were not going to let it happen. Payu breathed in and out before he spoke. The knew how powerful his words were and he was going to use it. He stood in front of Prapai as he stepped back. The Lord Protector looked at him signaling him not to speak as he felt Prapai was bad enough but if Payu opened his mouth, he would be nailed. Payu pretended not to see him and started talking " Since when did the Protector's start condoning murderers in their midst. He used my sword against me and did the same to Prapai. I'm a simple person, I want judgement and justice and I want it now."
The room fell silent.
Before the Lord Protector could speak. The leader of the Council spoke up, it happened to be the lady.
" Moss would be stripped of his Protector's title and his powers taken. I want Prapai and Payu to go to the human realm and bring him here. Before the Council closes his powers would be gone, I want him to..." Before she could finish a voice was heard behind them
" And did they tell you what they did for me to witch hunt them. They broke the code."
Everyone turned around to see Moss who had a smirk on his face. He approached the Council and knelt down humbly. Payu had to hold Prapai back by the shoulders, because he looked like he was out for blood.
The lady turned to look at him angrily " what nonsense are you muttering and what gave you the right to interrupt me?"
" I'm very sorry Lord's Council and Protectors present. Did these men tell you what they did?"
" Nothing could warrant you wanting to kill us does it, even kill the people we are meant to protect." Payu answered.
This was where Moss smiled faded and it looked like there was a dark shadow hovering above him before he spoke
" Did you tell the Council? Fid you tell the Council you slept with them, Hypocrites. You know our rules, immortals and mortals are meant to be but never to consummate, you both did. And worse still with the people who possesses Priscilla's Immo Plant."
Prapai and Payu didn't know what to feel at this point. Rain and Sky were actually what was left of Priscilla. Payu staggered back he turned to the Council
" What he's saying is a lie right? Moss lies about everything."
No one answered him. He faced the Lord Council and  The Lord Protector who both bent their heads. She spoke up by saying " it was not our intention for you to find out like this."
"AHHHHHHH, No... You sent them to us WHY... WHY?"
Payu's eyes were red with tears. Prapai felt his breath cease as he slumped holding onto his chest.
" I can explain, remember the time we said we couldn't find her Immo Plant, Priscilla handed them down to the Earth Protector at the time who gave before he died to Sky and Rain as babies. We are sorry for not telling you.
Both men were gasping for air as they couldn't believe what they were hearing.
The Lord Council lady spoke up after all this adding salt to injury by saying.
" It's clear these men have greatly affected the both of you, so I hereby degree that Prapai and Payu are never to See Sky and Rain again. Moss, you are to find them, wipe their memories and cultivate the Immo Plants in them."
Before Prapai and Payu could protest, she got close to them and said. " I'm sorry," She closed her eyes. All the other council members including  Moss disappeared remaining Her, Prapai and Payu. They both looked at her hands begging, as they cried desperately " I'm sorry , please don't do this we beg you. We are sorry." Prapai pleaded crawling on his hands and knees. Payu couldn't even move. He was just stuck there . Her eyes remained closed as she said
" Your Punishment as Lord Council head, know it stands and can never be broken. Prapai and Payu listen to my voice and my decree and obey. You shall both forget the existence of Rain And Sky. They do not exist never will." The fainted.
The Lord Council head sat down too and began to cry bitterly
" Prapai and Payu, I'm so so so sorry, but this is the only way to protect you." She looked up at the sky and said " Priscilla please forgive me..."
