Chapter 49: What I Can Do

Sky got to the office after his encounter with Prapai. He could feel his heart race so fast. He had lots of urges and the real battle was him trying not to dive into his arms and holding him close. There was just something about Pai that made his insides skip. He had to constantly remind himself that he was angry at Pai. He went straight to his table and put his head on it while seating. He was really fighting an unseen battle with himself. He put both hands on his head. Before he could fall asleep, he got a call that there was an emergency meeting. He hurriedly got himself ready for it and headed straight to the board room. Everyone was there including Prapai. He was the one they were all waiting for, apparently Prapai had assembled everyone but left him to get the information late. Everyone was staring at Sky as he walked towards Pai with a file at hand. His seat was by the right hand side of the chairman, and the chairman was Prapai. Sky reluctantly went to seat there. The meeting began with Prapai thanking everyone for always being present and available and ended by saying " I know I've not been very present as a CEO, but that is about to change. I lay it as a point of duty to everyone and most especially my Company Director." He faced Sky as he said this. Sky didn't know where to focus his gaze. He couldn't look Prapai in the eyes. For someone who wanted to make Pai feel his pains, he was getting pretty nervous.
" I'll be a better CEO and prove to you that I am worthy."
This got the entire room clapping, thinking he was talking about commitment. Sky knew better and faced the rest of the staff. The meeting ended and Sky literally flew to his office. He didn't want to be seen. He placed his hand on his chest. Earlier after saying all those words to Prapai, he was quiet till he arrived. He felt really bad about the whole thing but wanted to pass across his point. He really was trying his best. He couldn't fall in love with him again, he didn't want to bring himself to doing it but instantly he heard a knock on the door. He composed himself " Come in." He said. He was met with a smoking hot CEO with his first two buttons opened revealing a well defined chest. Sky imagined placing his hands there, but had to shake his head back to reality. Prapai walked confidently to where sky was seated. Rather than going over the side Sky was, he leaned over the table inches from Sky's face. " I've heard all you had to say, I listened to it attentively. Sky, you don't have to do anything, I'll chase you, I'll chase you till you love me again."
" Khun Prapai, I made it clear to you that I don't love you anymore , didn't I?"
" Yes you did. But it's my feelings against yours. Sky, I'll make you mine again, like it or leave it."
" What if I got someone else in your absence?"
" I feel that fellow is unfortunate."
" Why?"
" Because he will never truly have you." While this conversation was happening, Sky tried to look away from Pai's face but was stuck looking at his chest which was revealing as he bent. He stood back up. Sky thought he was going to leave but he went to  Sky's side of the table, knelt down, placed Sky's hands on his head and said " if you want to switch, I'm up for it? If you want to be my top, I wouldn't even mind at all. Just punish me and forgive me, being in a world with you is difficult if I can't even reach your heart."
" Are you serious?"
" Sky if you want me to bark, I would, to dance, I would. I'd let you step all over me, because you're the only one I see myself giving it all up for."  Sky was stunned. He was not expecting the response he got. He had a smirk on his face and asked again
" Khun Pai, Do you love me?"
" Always."
" Then you better take my punishment for deserting me."
" Whatever it is I will."
" Pai, I'm not giving you my heart back."
" I'll take whatever you give me as far as it's not hate."  Prapai rested his head on Sky's laps and placed Sky's hands on his back. He didn't get up from kneeling and tears streamed down his face. Sky initially didn't know till he felt his laps were beginning to feel wet. Sky didn't even know how he got to this point. He called his secretary and told her that no one be allowed into his office. He couldn't let anyone see Prapai like this, the fragile immortal who found solace in him.

Payu threaded carefully around Rain. He was afraid he would trigger him so the next day, he was kitted and ready to resume work. The staffs were so happy to see their boss back. They asked if he enjoyed his vacation as Rain had told them that was where he was. Rain passed by and he answered " the vacation was horrible, I lost a treasure in the process." Rain didn't stop and kept walking. Work for the day was stressful as usual but moreso today because the week before, the restaurant was advertised. A lot of people saw it and we're really interested. The advert showed the workers too and they were all eye candy. Payu was not there but now he was back, ladies were swooning over his visuals and even guys too with the comments " how can somebody look like that." Or " he looks like he's from another planet." Payu was really handsome. To make matters worse Prapai came to buy food too. It was like a idol party. People even sneakily took pictures of the two of them. They were having fun. Prapai didn't last very long as he grabbed his food, he could notice the stares all around, he patted Payu on the shoulder and said " good luck."
" If only Rain looked at me like this again I would be so content."
" Don't give up yet, we both messed up out of fear of losing them. So now we have to gain them out of fear of losing them completely." He left. Rain was gritting his teeth in the kitchen. Some people were so bold as to ask him for Payu's number, his likes and dislikes. He was furious. He called him to the kitchen and asked " you like it don't you? The attention and all?"
" Of course not. But it's not bad if you gave me googly eyes too."
" Me? Are you delusional?
" For you, I'll be all kinds of delulu."
" You'll be having kitchen duty from now."
" Rain, did you forget?"
" Forget what?"
" That I'm still the boss, so the kitchen duty would be done by both of us."
Payu gave the order and only four person's were in the kitchen to cook. The proximity between the two of them was so close, Rain could smell Payu. He folded his sleeves, cracked his neck and fingers. Rain had to see all this happen. He was losing. The other people in the kitchen watched Payu cook, they were so impressed and smiled sheepishly. Rain gave them a massive side eye. He was slowly getting jealous as they kept praising him.
" It's enough, focus on work."
" Why? I like it though."
" I don't!"
" Why?" Rain went close to his ears and whispered
" P'Payu, don't be cheeky."
" Rain, don't drool into the food."
" P'Payu, stop it."
" Nong Rain, I'd rather have you drooling over me, shirtless in my bed, is that too much to ask for."
Rain froze. This was not how it was supposed to go. He wanted Payu close to him but unable to touch him but for some reason he was the one feeling the heat. He turned around to get water in the sink. Payu turned around too standing behind Rain. He reached out for the cup too. Rain gulped. Payu on the other hand was feeling very excited all over. He bent his head towards Rain's left ear to get it, slightly brushing his ear with his lip. Rain turned to mush instantly as he tightened his hands. He had to sum up courage and left the kitchen with the excuse he needed to use the restroom. Payu did this in the presence of the assistants even. He truly was shameless. Rain had the cards but this was a game he was an expert at playing with Rain. This was what he could do
