Chapter 60: Unfaithful?

Tears began to fall from Rain's eyes. Sky knew at once he had gone too far with his words
" Ai Rain, I'm sorry, I was just really upset." Rain looked at him. He looked like a wet puppy. Sky went to him and gave him a much deserve hug. He was on the crossfire throughout the day. The hug was so warm. Rain continued crying and said " I'll leave P'Payu for real this time Sky, he just keeps hurting me. I have limits you know."
"Rain, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."

Payu stayed in the garden swallowing everything Rain had said. He was upset, really upset. He kicked invisible grass. Pai came running and for the first time in a long time, he punched him hard across the face. This stunned Payu. It was the least thing he was expecting and it came so surprisingly that he staggered backwards.
" Saraleo (asshole) Payu, you are such a bullshit person. You know they are telling the truth don't you? You know, so why are you acting so awful towards Rain, why?"
" Pai I don't know what to believe in any more."
" And you took Priscilla's side now when it shouldn't even be on the table. Payu remember when she was dying for no reason she said she was going to haunt us, and you are still taking her side?"
" Pai it's not as easy as you're saying it, there's so much baggage to offload."
" It's clear you don't love Rain."
" Pai don't say that, you know I do."
" From what I see, you have to get your shit together or you'll lose him forever this time around. There's no two ways about it. Rain is too fragile for you to keep doing this" Pai left him at the garden and went inside to meet Rain and Sky. He stood there for a while and left them. He went back to Payu and told him they need to go out, off they went to meet Priti. Payu was still very downcast about everything but he really needed answers.
When they met Priti. He was still a bit weak. Immediately he saw them, he went back. He wanted to defend but was too weak to do so. Pai spoke up " you know about Priscilla don't you?" He was shocked. " Ho....w ...did you find out? Who told you about her?"
" So you know?" Payu said.
"Yes, we all know, she was the one manipulating Moss, she wanted more but Moss..." He stopped talking
" Moss did what?" Speak up!"
" I... I'm scared you'll hurt me?"
" We will do more than hurt you if you don't talk."
"She... She met my family and told me what she wanted. She said Moss should cover for her to make you crazy. She knew you were in love with her and she also knew my brother was in love with Prapai so she promised him you in exchange for Payu's suffering. Moss refused and she reminded him of a crime he committed that she covered up for him. He had no choice."
" But why? Why go this far?" Pai asked.
" Priscilla is going to destroy everything that the both of you know and love. There is no revenge story, just an obsessed woman who wants the man she loves to suffer."
Pai and Prapai was shaken to their cores. They had heard of obsessed stories but never one this far.  Priscilla was truly crazy. Payu and Prapai returned to the house immediately but found Rain and Sky were sleeping on the couch. Pai quietly walked to Sky and tapped him awake. Sky was going to call his name but Pai shushed him. He led him quietly upstairs to Sky's room.
" Sky, I'm sorry for being an asshole to Rain and you, just that it was a lot to take in at once."
" I know and I wanted a more subtle approach but Rain went ahead of me."
" I'm Sorry."
"P'Pai, sorry doesn't really fix everything you know."
" I know but it's better than nothing."
"P'Payu is such a jerk, and I'm pretty sure you guys made your research that's why you're back to us."
" Sky?"
" Am I lying?"
" No you're not."
" Fine, so who is her target?"
" It's majorly Rain and you"
" What did that guy say?"
" How did you..."
" P'Pai I can add one and two together, it was easy to tell where you were going to."
"So what's the plan."
" After I forgive you but for now..." Sky wrapped his hands around Pai and closed his eyes. He was so relieved that he felt all the weight on him get lifted.

Payu sat beside the sleeping Rain. He was conflicted about holding him and rather chose to look at him instead. Payu's head was messed up and as so many thoughts were running through his mind he could feel how badly he was hurting Rain. From the first moment they met to his constant rejections, it was strange that he felt a certain type of way about Rain but for some reason in this argument where it mattered most, he didn't choose Rain or prioritize him rather he thought about Priscilla, her existence and death that left him scarred, marring his relationship with Prapai and having no one to call friend. Now, thinking of her, there was a thin line. He didn't want to bring her up again , he wanted her alive in his memories. He felt so guilty knowing he was in love with Rain. Every single day the thought pondered in his mind. If Priscilla was here, would she be happy with me dating Rain or
What if she says she wants me back, what do I do then.
Payu felt gobbled up with everything. He was tired and exhausted. He knew who his heart was beating for, who it yearned for but now because he had made a promise to himself that he would never love another and made a vow with his heart. The first day his heart beat for Rain was the day they had a storm. Payu came into the shop drenched to check if everyone was okay. Rain came out and saw him. He dropped the tray on his hand and went to Payu he dragged him to the boss' restroom and dried him up there. After Rain finished using the dryer on his hair. He came closer to fix it. That was the first time. He went back to work and noticed that anytime Rain looked at him, his heart skipped again. The storm passed and Payu decided to leave earlier than everyone. He went very far and sat on a bench. Here he met random stranger, he looked at her and nothing happened so he was quite confused. He tapped her and when she turned Payu asked her.
" Sorry to disturb you, but can I ask you a question?"
" Sure, anything
" Why does a person's heart decide to skip beats when seeing a particular person."
" You're in love thats why."
" How is that possible?".
"It just is." Payu rather than taking the time to understand his feelings, ran from Rain. It was now obvious that the person who he tried to be better for was the one wanting to destroy all he was and wanted to be. He felt guilty each time he made a decision and chose Rain instead. He woke Rain up and helped him get up as he was very sleepy. He placed his index finger on Rain's chest and said
" Nong Rain, I choose you, it will always be you. Not her, I love you Rain." He went in for a kiss.
