Chapter 90: My Dream

Payu took a break and went to the bathroom. He felt his entire body crumble and his feet unable to carry him. Payu was so happy. There was no words to contain his happiness. Rain was in his view again. He had sent someone to tell him about his desire to go on a date with him. He waited for two days and got a reply. Everything was set. One thing needed was his mindset to change. This was not Rain, his previous lover Rain, this was a completely different person. If he acted like he knew him, it would cause problems for him on the long run. This was what Payu wanted to avoid by all means necessary. The day of the date came. Rain came quite late and apologized as it had been raining and it was difficult to get a taxi. Payu asked why he didn't just call to cancel and Rain's reply was all he needed to hear.
" If I didn't come, I felt like I was throwing something vital away, so here I am. And also I like food". This made both party burst into laughter. Rain sat down opposite Payu who was so in love, his eyes could be hearts at this point. Their meals began to come in. Rain ate to their satisfaction. He saw the smile on Payu's face. He didn't see himself as an amusing person so why was he laughing. They had little chit chats to get to know each other better. Payu seemed absolutely interested in everything Rain was And why did he instead of getting upset about it, he felt at ease. There was a comforting air about Payu that made him feel so at ease. Rain finally raised his head to meet Payu's
" Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, anything."
"why did you decide to ask me out to eat."
" You said you liked my food."
" That's all?"
" Yes, I liked the way you said it."
" But my friend said the exact same thing? Why didn't you ask him too?"
" Because I liked the way you said it more."
" Wait, does that mean anyone who complements your food and you'll like the way they said it, you go on a date with them? That means you've gone out with so many people because I'm sure they'll keep complementing your meal." Rain unknown to himself sounded so offended by it. He wanted to be special to this man. Was it strange? Was he strange?
" If the person had exactly your voice and face and was you, then I'll consider." Rain blushed pink. It was so obvious. He lowered his head and smiled. Rain felt blood surge all over his body.  There was a tingling feeling something he had not felt for a long time. His heart beat uncontrollably.
Has this man charmed him? What was he actually feeling?"
It was just one day but why was he feeling like he had known him for years? Why did he feel so familiar? The date was really a fun experience for Rain. It was time for him to leave but he couldn't because it was raining outside. Payu offered to take him home which after much declining he eventually accepted. Rain had so many thoughts in his head what if he a killer? Is he interested in me? What if he is not and is just wasting my time? Am I actually picturing my life with this guy? Of course not, of course not Rain, what are you thinking? Don't be crazy." Rain had several more of these thoughts till he got home. At the house. Payu stopped outside thanked him for the lovely night and headed back to his car. He waited till Rain got inside. When he turned to go, he saw Rain running back outside. This worried him.
"What? What happened?"
" I saw a rat. It was huge and was moving around." Payu burst out laughing. Even in this life, Rain was still afraid of rats. They stayed outside for a little while more
" So what are you going to do?'
" I'm going to rent a hotel and sleep for the night. You said you're afraid of rats too so I have no choice." That was a lie. Payu was always the one who exterminated the rats till Rain started calling him my exterminator. But now, he wasn't going to do that. He was going to just wait it out. They bickered a lot about Rain wanting to stay in a hotel and the risk factor. It was decided. They would stay together. Rain was not willing to go back with a stranger to his house and the stranger was not willing to let him be in a shabby looking hotel alone.
They got inside. Just seeing the place alone Rain looked at Payu for a long time.
" Is your place also an option?"
" Yes, but I just need you to be really comfortable."
" Do you live in your restaurant?
" No I don't, I just mean, I don't want you to feel weird that's all."
Payu maintained the former house. But he restructured it again to be two houses in one. The top floor and his. It was quite a nice innovation. Everyone who helped was amazed by how well thought out the house was. They asked if he was getting married but his answer was the same. " When the person I'm waiting for comes, I'll know."  Rain was blown away by how beautiful the house was and kept complimenting the place. They got ready to sleep. Rain had a nice bed and all. His house was nice too but in comparison to Payu's, it was child's play. He went to his bed. Payu brought a warm glass of milk for him. In previous life, Rain absolutely adored his act of service. He smiled so beautifully. Payu couldn't help but smile. He was glad that there was similarities between the both of them that he was really happy about. As he got in to sleep, Rain noticed him leaving and stopped him.
" Thank you for everything P'Payu, I really appreciate."
" You're welcome."
" Can I give you a peck on the forehead?"  Rain asked politely.
Payu short circuited for a minute then gave his answer affirmatively.
Payu bent down and Rain sat up. He had never done this before but felt obligated to. As he leaned him to kiss his forehead, he bent and Payu thought he was done and shifted his face. This landed in a KISS. He swiftly moved back and fell on his bottom. Rain placed his hand on his lips. He had caused a misunderstanding and he knew it immediately. He wanted to apologize but Payu was too stunned to do anything.
" I'm sorry, I really am. I just wanted to..."
" It's fine, don't think of it as anything." Payu stood up and regained composure. He turned to leave till Rain asked
" Why not?"
" Why not what." He turned around and walked towards the bed.
" Why should I not take it as anything?"
" I didn't want to create any misunderstandings."
" I'm the one who asked to peck you am I not. In the one meant to apologize. I really" It was going to repeat itself again. Having Rain confess his feelings and being rejected and misunderstood. Payu walked towards him.
" I find you really, really attractive, and I am sorry." Rain was going to ask the most outlandish thing he had ever asked in his whole life.
" Can I kiss you... I know, we just met and all but can I just..."
" Sure, because I want to kiss you too." Payu went straight towards his direction placed a hand on the back of his head. He looked at the man he had longed for so long. He looked at the man who made him smile uncontrollably. He was lost for words. Leaning in he opened his lips a bit. Rain wanted it as much as he did. There was a longing. Payu swallowed and placed his lips on Rain's. It seemed like fireworks was shot around them. There was no explaining it, just pure joy. Rain's cheek got hot instantly. His hands which were formerly under the duvet came out and held Payu pulling him closer. It was more passionate than sensual. Two people who really wanted to kiss each other. One because he wanted to and the other because he had missed kissing him, he had missed this person right in front of him and thought one thing " I'll protect you better this time and love you more than ever."
