Chapter 72: Many Reasons

The pain did not wear off for two whole hours. Pai placed his hand on this forehead trying to heal the pain. It was futile but he needed to try at least. Sky just laid there. Pai teleported with him. It was a now or never situation. Payu also teleported with Rain. Plans were already made and it was something they both had in mind. A vacation. Payu picked Hawaii while Pai picked Bali. They had booked for it earlier as it didn't take any time to do so.
When Sky woke up, he was in a normal environment. It was beautiful but looked normal to him. He woke up to find Pai talking to a worker there. He sat up and with a slight movement , Pai turned to see two eyes looking intently at him. He excused himself and went to Sky.
" Hope you're okay?"
" Yes I am, but what was that all about?"
" It's the way the bracelet works, it give momentary pain. The heart checks for compatibility with the heart of the receiver. If it hates the person or finds malicious intent, it rejects you and falls to the ground like a bracelet."
" So wait, that means it wouldn't come to me if you're not in love with me?"
" Yes, and it wouldn't stay with you if you're not in love with me."
" So it knows?"
" Yes. It knows who your heart beats for." Pai went to the bed, held Sky's waist, brought him closer, kissed him. He stared at him for a while before saying
" It's so good our hearts align. And better still that you're head over heels in love with me."
" What makes you think that?"
" I just know it, my heart is well rested inside your chest. Rest a bit, I'll go and get food for you and wake you. " Sky nodded and Pai placed his head on Sky's and used his hand to wedge his head back to sleep
There was something Pai avoided telling Sky about it because he felt it was perverted. As far as the thought concerned Pai, he could hear it. No matter how bad it was. Pai was very eager to know his thoughts. In all of this there was a catch. Priscilla. They needed the vacation so Rain and Sky could acclimatize to the new protectives on them. Sky's eyes flickered opened. He looked around the room and it was already dark. Pai was with a plate of food by the corner munching away. Sky was silently looking at him. Pai noticed this and brought a plate of food to him. Sky ate till he was full. He did not want to be a burden to Pai. That was when Pai heard his thought for the first time.
I really don't want to be a burden to you. It sounded so subtle. Pai felt his heart melt. He couldn't do anything about it because it was his thought. Sky noticed the way Pai was looking at him like a sculpture that he moulded. Intrigued and lost in it. Then he asked
" Why do you look at me the way you do?"
" How do I look at you?"
"Like something you don't have but you already have and something you still want to have?"
" Because the moment I feel like I have you already I'll start slipping then I wouldn't have you anymore."
" Do you love me that much?"
"Yes, I do." Sky placed his palm on Pai's chin. That was when he realized he hadn't touched it for a while as they had not been physical in so long. They were fighting so many things all at once that they didn't even have time to look at each other. They were so afraid of losing each other they lost how it had been to be in an actual relationship with each other.
" Are you angry with me?"
" Babe why should I be?"
" I've been a terrible boyfriend haven't I?"
" Sky, what are you talking about?" Pai held his hand on his face. A tear drop fell from Sky's eyes. Pai caught it. His tears were too valuable to fall to the ground, too valuable to be wasted.
" Sky what's wrong?"
" Me and you?"
"What about us?
" P'Pai, I'm sorry that since you started dating me, you never had a moment to catch your breath. Either I put you in a place that you're in trouble or I am. I want peace so badly. I'm sorry babe. It's bad but I would be miserable without you in my life. Even though it's like this. Maybe I'm selfish, but I love you too much."
" And you think I would give you up again or change you."
" P'Pai what I'm about to tell you might sound ridiculous but I have to say it."
" Okay what is it?"
" There's no one else like you. I experienced an asshole in Yaya. You're incomprehensible. No one is like you." Sky brought his face close to the man who was already smiling from ear to ear.
I want to kiss this man badly, but is now a bad time. Sky thought. He didn't finish before the got pushed into a kiss. Pai pulled back and asked
" Sky, can we do it now? Hmmm? I've waited so long and it seems like we keep getting time taken from us. So can we?"
" Pai, you're free. You've always been free."

Rain woke up on the sunny side. His man sleeping beside him. He woke him up quickly in a panic
" Where are we?"
" Hawaii."
" Really??? I love Hawaii."
" I know you do. Let's enjoy this as much as we can, just want us to be together."
" Can I eat anything? Drink anything?"
" Yes of course."
" You included?" Payu gulped. Rain was laughing so loudly. It was the first time in a while he saw him like this.
" Of course, any how you want it."
" Really, we'll see then. For now I'm going to the beach. I need to change my... P'Payu, how did you change my clothes?"
" The normal way?"
" Did you see anything you're not supposed to?"
" And if I did, isn't it mine."
" P'Payu, you're getting pretty brave."
" I've always been brave with you."
" But you're never brave when I'm upset." Rain had a smug look on his face
" you know the power you have I am powerless against it." Rain laughed. He was really pretty.
You're so pretty. Mehn it's a dream you're mine. Payu thought
" Thank you, I know I'm pretty." Rain did the tongue gest.
" I didn't say that out loud."
" I Heard it out loud."
" How?" Payu was frozen, it was only going to be one way but why could Rain hear his thoughts too.

Priscilla went to the prison and released Rain's ex.
She found the slums Pai locked up Sky's ex and released him from the mind prison he and his friends were in .
She went to Arityl Sublime.
" Mr Yaya, I heard you were humiliated. Help me take down the Lord Protectors and be one yourself.
" Deal."
