" Rain, are you sure?" Payu asked him
" Yes, absolutely"
" Sky are you sure?" Prapai asked Sky
" With my whole heart." Sky said nodding his head. Sky and Rain had spoken to each other earlier on the fact that the heart connections should be broken. Sky was a little skeptical about it, but he was very confident that they were safe. They were going to scale through and make it to the end. He assumed that they were completely safe and if there was going to be any danger, Prapai and Payu would avert it. It was in their daily observation. Sky could feel Pai get tired and weak. The heavenly Realm was closed to them so there was no way of getting in or going out so they were stuck. Rain pretended not to see Payu gasp for breath. He acted oblivious to all the signs as his mind was made up.
Prapai and Payu were adamant at first but with continuous persistence from their lovers, they gave it. Payu took out the heart pendant first. He gave it back to himself. All the life force from it was sucked out, just the pendant was left, he returned it back to Rain, hugging an out of breath man. It was Sky's turn. Pai was to hesitant as he paced the room severally in the hope that Sky would change his mind. He didn't.
He eventually summed up courage and took it out. Sky looked at him and said " I'm right here, I won't go anywhere any time soon trust me. I love you boo."

All of these happened two weeks ago. Sky had drown in the river and Rain had been stabbed to death with both their lovers watching. They was nothing they could do. They couldn't chase him to the heavenly Realm as it was blocked from them. They couldn't get revenge as everything was too rushed. The barrier fell and Prapai ran towards Sky. His head was completely empty. Sky was in the water so he swam and pulled him out. Sky who was drunk waiting outside for his lover, was pulled out from the pool lifeless by the lover he so longed to be with. Prapai could feel his whole body shake. He could not process anything. He just looked at Sky who was not moving or breathing. He put his hand over his chest, trying to resuscitate him, all to no avail. He stayed there in that moment for a while. Time stood still for him. He wanted to call Sky's name but he knew it was futile. He just sat on the ground with Sky on his laps. Life was meaningless, everything did not make sense. Why him? Of all people why take the one thing he wanted to have? the one person he wanted to be with? Prapai knew he was not selfish, he just wanted to be happy but that was gone now. In an instant his entire world crumbled.

Payu shivered. Looking at Rain sent him so many mixed emotions. He didn't even bother trying to save him, he knew it was a waste. He went close to the bloody Rain. The last person he saw was him. The last name he called was his. Over and over again it played in his head, over and over again for the minute this incident happened. In a moment, Payu had lost touch of reality. He turned pale. He walked towards the body of the person he couldn't protect and felt his heart shatter. Payu was a loser who couldn't protect the one person he had. Holding Rain he held him up to his neck and cried. He couldn't even breath properly. Then the loud sobbing began. It was pretty far from where the main party was so it was assumed they had gone home so no one came looking and even if they did, what would they have done?
Payu held onto Rain for dear life, hoping for a change of his fate. There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Fear gripped him. The thought of not hearing his voice again scared him.
" Teerak, wake up, we need to leave this place and head home, I need to give you a warm bath and we promised to go for the vacation tomorrow. Teerak wake up let's go." Payu could only hear his own voice.
" Rain, can you please wake up, I promised to take care of you forever. This isn't forever, this isn't even close. I bought a ring Rain, a ring and I was going to ask you to pick me. This is not how our story ends, I cannot accept it?Rain don't do this to me. I can't fight the whole world because of you and still lose you? That's not a fair battle. It really isn't, so get up, let's go home." Absolute silence.
In one night both friends had lost their lovers.
Pai didn't even know what to do. He was so confused that he stayed there just staring at him. It got to the very next morning, someone was going to the lake, then the saw Pai. He quickly called the police who came with ambulance. They struggled to get Sky off his hands as he was reluctant to give him up. He shook his head and screamed " don't take him , please I beg you don't take him. If you do, I have nothing left". They looked at the situation and they asserted that he got drunk and wandered into the lake and drown. Payu after a while of searching the perimeter was found too. They took them both to the station. They looked up their identities and nothing came up. They were invisible to the radar and were just existing. This was going to be a problem. They were both not responding. They didn't even know what was going on. They were tossed from one place to another. But they did not react at all. It confused everyone who were there. Even when they were interrogated they were silent. P'Tai came and eventually took both of them home. It had been days. He took them to Payu's house and sat the both of them down. They looked horrible. He couldn't even say anything to them as they remained silent.

Monsters came to attack Arityl and Carityl. It had always been safe and the monsters pulled back but not this time. The new Protectors were killed instantly with just a little push. The Lord Protector saw his work cut out for him. Rather than protect the people, he hid in his well protected mansion. He was confident , Prapai and Payu would never come for him, his work was done. He truly had won. The Lord Council had to get up and protect the city, failing woefully.
