All Might passed by. He sat beside you, pity written all over his face. He came with a sketchbook, remembering those two hobbies of yours. He was happy when you took it with glee.
He rubbed your head, as you peered at him with your bandaged face. He wondered how someone could ever hurt you like this. Who could've been hurt so badly they had to inflict it on others?
As he left, he saw your eyes follow his figure, the glint of happiness slowly disappearing. He couldn't help but leave behind his phone and a pair of headphones.
The following days, you spent your time drawing inanimate figures. You also spent your nights awake, horrified by the shadows in your hospital room. Feeling alone and vulnerable, you'd cry yourself to sleep.
The pain came back in nightmares, bruises all over your body. Your brain wasn't letting your body forget.
A week before the exams, Katsuki stopped by, carrying a heavy textbook. He slammed it down on the table before pulling a notebook out of the bag he was carrying.
"We're gonna fucking study since your weak ass hasn't healed yet."
You had forgotten all about the deal. "You don't have to anymore. I'll somehow make it."
"Don't be fucking stupid. I didn't bring all this for nothing."
You sighed at his stubbornness, which was ironic considering you also refused to study. "I don't want to study. I want to sleep."
"You're studying with me!! I'm getting that thirty bucks!"
"Ugh. I guess I did hire you to keep me on track, huh?" You grabbed your sweater, searching inside the pocket to find thirty bucks.
All Might gave you some extra money in case you didn't like the hospital food. Katsuki stuffed it into his pockets, angrily teaching you from the basics up till where you were supposed to be learning. He explained it so thoroughly you didn't have any questions left for him once he finished.
You took mini quizzes in between explanations and practice problems. His method of studying worked. Even after three hours of studying, you felt like you were a genius. Like you could topple the world with your intelligence. You paid him an extra ten dollars for his amazing study skills.
He simply grunted, stuffing it into his pocket(again) and taking his textbook. He threw the notebook at you, reminding you he'd come again tomorrow and expect you to know everything he explained today, because if you didn't, you'd have hell to pay.
You were grateful for his presence, as he immediately eliminated the fear you felt. With the reminder that he'd come tomorrow, you slept for the whole night without a nightmare.
Three days after studying with Katsuki, you were finally healed with a healer. Scars were left behind but nothing too visible. You couldn't help but feel a bit prideful.
They were like battle scars.
Of course, coming back to school was like becoming a celebrity in class. Your classmates came up to you, asking what had happened. You brushed them off with a, "I was a bit sick."
It kept them away for a while until someone caught on. Shinso Hitoshi.
He may seem sleep-deprived but he was sharp. He stared at you whenever you'd lie to your classmates and looked away whenever you turned to him. As long as he didn't bother you, you didn't mind.
When lunch came around, you sped off with your bento, waiting for Izuku. When you found him, he was laughing with Ochako. You found it adorable how they were both developing feelings for each other.
