38. Red Dot

Rain.

Pure, thundering, rain.

A knock on your dorm startled you awake. You had accidentally fallen asleep to the sound of the rain tapping against your window. Another knock at your door. You got up from your bed and opened the door, wiping away the stray tears from yawning.

"Good morning—I mean, Good afternoon." All Might smiled as he held up a bag of goodies. "I brought you some food. We haven't been hanging out for a while, have we?"

You mirrored his smile and welcomed him in, Kinsei jumping off his post to rub his face against All Might's leg. All Might sat on your bed as Kinsei jumped into his lap.

You searched through the bag of goodies, feeling your mood lighten. He had brought some good stuff. Thunder roared outside, All Might jumping to the sound of it.

"Scared of thunder?" You questioned as you opened a snack.

"Haha, as weird as it seems and used to being the number one hero, I am. It seems childish but I was almost striked by lightening once and still have this paranoia about it."

"I see. So you came here because...?"

All Might sighed. As expected, you saw right through him. "The commissioner..."

You rolled your eyes at the mention of that bitch.

"She wants you to come right away. I brought you some snacks as consolation and to slow down having to tell you."

You finished swallowing a part of the snack you had bitten off before asking, "What does she want?"

"She didn't say. All she said was that you had to come."

"I don't wanna go." You huffed, taking another bite out of your snack.

"We have to go now, Young (Y/n)." All Might stood. "She said it was urgent."

You sighed, grabbing your snacks. "First, let me take Kinsei to Izuku."

Carrying your kitten to the boy you were always with at birth, you felt dread settle in your bones. What was it that she needed? Did she find out something?

Izuku quickly answered to your knock. All Might told him the situation and Izuku immediately agreed.

"Be careful, okay?" He told you, "Call me if anything goes wrong. I promise I'll be there."

"Yeah. Thanks, Izuku."

He smiled and watched you leave. Then he turned to Kinsei. "Let's play."

Kinsei meowed as Izuku brought out a laser toy. Izuku found amusement in watching Kinsei chase his prey—a red dot.
