Hello! I feel like people didn't really understand the symbolism in the story and why I wrote what I wrote.

Y/n is an extremely flawed person. She focuses only on the negative aspects of her life and doesn't consider the people around her(near the beginning.)

Of course, due to traumatic events, y/n has mental health issues. Let's start off with y/n and her relationship with her mom.

I think it's not uncommon for some girls to feel as if their brothers are far more favorable and loved unconditionally. I understand. I wanted to put this in y/n so that there's a foundation for the way she thinks and her actions in the book.

Like rationalizing changing the world for the greater good.

Having an unstable relationship with one or both parents can lead to harmful effects down the line. And y/n is proof of that.

I wanted to catch you off guard. So I killed y/n off. I've actually had the idea for her quirk for a looooooongggg time. I've been thinking of making a fanfic with that kind of quirk. I'm really glad I was able to flesh it out to it's full potential.

I was gonna kill her off in the middle of the book but I figured that she needed that character development. I couldn't rush the story. No no no, it had to marinate. Yes. Marinate.

And because of her death, she focuses even more on the negative aspects of her life. Can even suggests she gets a bit coco at this point. I would too ngl. And the relationship between y/n and Izuku becomes stronger because of this.

Can't forget Katsuki's relationship to y/n.

Her death is the catalyst for the story. The driving point and the beginning of her downfall. Her death was everything to the story. Everything.

It's foreshadowed near the beginning that y/n was an otherworldly being. Actually, there's a multiverse and stuff and there's dragons and the golden color and kisses are super relevant to the story—

Anyway, forget the lore.

You'd probably know what I'm talking about if you read my other books(the lore will expand someday...and someday I may write a book centered around the lore.)

Anyway anyway

So when y/n meets her father, it's another symbol of her unstable relationship to Inko. It's so unstable that anything that's the tiniest bit better than Inko's relationship to yours would make y/n get attached.

Which is a problem.

That's why y/n has trouble with Katsuki. He's not very kind towards her but she's familiar with him. And as long as he was familiar, she probably would've put up with his continued abuse.

That's how abusive relationships continue even when the victim is aware.

Y/n is a victim. But only in the beginning.

It's around this point that y/n's flaws escalate. She's being praised for being strong because of her quirk. There's this expectation that she has to be perfect(because strong quirk = unbeatable = (probably a religious figure) = extremely high expectations of perfection.) We can also see this in later chapters with y/n is being attacked by reporters and civilians for putting herself first and giving up hero work.

There are many times when y/n forgot her goals of being a temporary hero and wanting to return to the way she was. Rather than becoming optimistic, she returns back to the negativity. She can't seem to learn her lesson.

So Ito comes back to haunt her and her trust in the heroes cracks.

She's slowly losing her gained stability. So she tries to avoid Ito(shit, I would too) the best she could. Of course, it's inevitable that she would run into him one day. And because Katsuki is there to defend her, she becomes more attached to him.

Even when he's an asshole.

Again, unstable relationships with parents potentially lead to abusive relationships with future partners.

Y/n manages to fight Ito and win. That's where she gains back a bit of her confidence. It's enough confidence that her way of thinking is a bit altered.

And then the worst, most traumatic experience of her life. This is the turning point of the story. Everything is falling downhill, and everything that lead up to this moment had shaped y/n's flaws and character. Her relationships. Her view. Her sight only on negativity.

Of course, her spiral is slow at first. And then it accelerates the more she puts herself first. As if she was being punished for protecting herself for once. She gets pushback. And even more, reinforces the idea that her world was flawed.

Then we have the betrayal. Ren is unforgivable at this point. Y/n was locked away because of her powers. She had become a threat to society and the world.

In my honest opinion, I agree with Ren. Y/n was severely unstable and would've been a threat. However, meddling in this way was not how to handle the situation.

Now, we come to the birds and the nest.

It's foreshadowed that two birds were building a nest(Katsuki and Y/n). Then there's one bird(Y/n). Y/n is afraid of being alone. She's scared of being without her 'protector' or the person who has been with her all this time.

And so, Y/n also loses herself. Their relationship is destroyed when she's in her prison. Their nest(their relationship) was torn to shreds. Abandoned.

Then comes changing the world to make her ideal paradise. Punishing humans around the world so that she could create her perfect world.

And yet, she is still a flawed character. Throughout lifetimes, she has always thought imperfection should be destroyed.

Hence, her self hatred and want to destroy her being. She fails to recognize that she was the problem.

The world couldn't ever change. There will always be good and bad. Balanced.

As it should be.

Without bad, we have no morals.

Without good, we have no morals.

At the end, y/n finally learns her lesson and accepts the fact that perfection is unattainable, even by a god.

Imperfection is the sign that you are alive.

So live.

And build your nest as securely as you can make it.

And sleep.
