Izuku knew the moment he saw you and Katsuki.
He dragged you off to a corner. "You confessed, didn't you? Kacchan is acting differently."
"I'm sorry. After everything's that's happened and everything he's done to you—"
"No, you don't need my permission or approval. I'm happy you can be safe with Kacchan. I knew this moment was coming. Kacchan is a good person, deep inside his heart. You know him as well as I do. I hope you find happiness with him. Just...tell me if he hurts you."
"It's okay, Izuku. He won't hurt me. And I won't let you fight him if he ever does."
Izuku smiled. "I will talk to Kacchan later, though. Just a small interrogation."
A small interrogation my ass, you thought.
Izuku let you go back to Katsuki, who refused to hold your hand because your brother was there. It wasn't because he was scared of Izuku, he just didn't want to reveal to his rival that he liked his sister
It was Monday, classes were starting soon. Izuku had to begin getting ready to get his stuff ready so he left Katsuki to take care of you and then switching so that the other could prepare.
Izuku wanted to give you some alone time to maybe speak with your now boyfriend. He felt like you needed to establish boundaries or some sort. Katsuki was a complicated individual.
"Katsuki. Is it okay that I call you by your first name?"
"Tch. You call me fucking Kacchan and then you call me Katsuki. Just pick a shitty name."
"Kacchan, just tell me which name you like better."
"Tch. So annoying." He groaned as if his mother told him to wash the dishes. "Then use that shitty ass nickname. Don't want people to get suspicious."
"You don't want our relationship to be public?"
"You know that damn raccoon and that hair for brains is gonna make a fool outta me for fucking weeks!" Katsuki sat on your bad, flopping down on his back. "They're so annoying!"
"But tolerable, aren't they?" You sat on your bed, next to Katsuki. "They're your friends, you should at least tolerate them."
"Hmph!"
"Don't give me that attitude." You teased, poking his side. "No PDA, then?"
"No PDA."
"Can I at least act as if you tolerate me?"
"I guess."
"Okay great! Then, if no one's around, I can call you Katsuki, right?"
"Don't give a damn."
"Alright then, when we're alone, it's okay if we hold hands, right?"
"We did it at the hospital, dumbass. No problem doing it here." His hands got sweaty just thinking about grabbing your hand.
It was pretty obvious you wanted to hold his hand so he brought it down to grab your hand. You knew he was only comfortable with this and hugs right now. Best not to overwhelm him because he'll start to push you away.
"Dumbass." You hummed in acknowledgment. "Dammit, I'm shitty at this."
"Say it in a way that you feel comfortable with." You replied, playing with his fingers.
"PDA or whatever, do you give a damn about it?"
You giggled, laying down beside him. "No, I don't mind if you don't want to do PDA. To be quite frank, it's a bit embarrassing. Not with you, but some people are grossed out."
"Especially that damn Deku and pink cheeks. They're so annoying."
"They're not dating yet. You'd think they would've gotten together but they hadn't."
"They're not dating? They're all up in each other's space they fucking look like flies."
"That's rude." You lightly pinched his finger as a punishment. "No, they're not together. They should but it's getting frustrating just watching them."
"It's that damn Deku. He just can't pull."
"That's my brother you insulted! It's true he hasn't spoken to a single girl until highschool but he's not ugly!"
"Hmph."
"You're so immaturely angry." You laughed, grabbing his hand with both hands. "Wanna learn how to braid?"
"Hah?"
"No, Katsuki, this goes over here, and this goes over here."
Katsuki was currently braiding a doll's hair, his hands sweating at the max.
"Look, they switch sides. Think of the braids as only two. The left and the right side."
They moved left right left right left right goddammit he was frustrated.
"Hey, calm down. You'll get the hang of it soon."
His eyes drifted to your white hair. Maybe he could braid your hair someday. That was enough motivation to continue braiding the doll's hair. Eventually, he came to a stop.
He had perfected the skill almost immediately, and he took pride in it. Especially hearing your praise, he basked in it. Though he didn't easily accept it. He just couldn't. How dare you praise him? Obviously he was going to be great.
At the same time he needed that validation from you. He laid down beside you, deciding that he should take a nap after not using a lot of effort to perfect his skills. He let you play with his hair.
In an odd way, it was soothing to feel your fingers gently tug at his hair. He felt your fingers braid into his hair but he was too sleepy to care. He didn't mind at all.
He swore you kissed his temple before he fell asleep but he also could've been imagining it, and he was not going to admit he imagined it.
