He found himself feeling sick. He checked his temperature. He was fine.
But when he thought of you, he felt like he'd burst. He didn't know why. Maybe he should be cautious around you. You were his friend but if you were dangerous to be around, he'd have to cut you off.
He felt bad but what else could he do with these kinds of bursting emotions? Or maybe he should tell you? He had a feeling you knew what he was feeling.
Sure, your relationship with him was based on training and enjoying each other's company, it wasn't much...exciting. Yes, that was the word Shoto was looking for.
He wished that he could understand what was happening with him. He felt guilty for feeling bored with you, even when he was the one who was boring. It bothered him so much that he knocked on your door at three a.m.
What was supposed to be a chat turned a different route when you answered your door with a tearstained face and breathing heavily. He took pity on you and broke the rules to enter your dorm. How could he not when his friend was suffering?
He hugged you gently, as if you were made out of glass. It was a comforting feeling to be held like that. You felt special. Like you were worth something.
Especially after you found out that you were worth nothing to that woman.
Shoto's mind juxtaposed your mind, trying to figure out what he was feeling. He wanted to hug you tightly and give you what you wanted.
Almost like...
Almost like a couple.
Oh.
He found out what it was.
His love.
