18. Cursed

Your mother was doing it again.

Even if you had a conversation with her, she hadn't changed her ways of worrying over Izuku. You crouched down, petting Kinsei goodbye. You were sad that you had to leave him behind for a while.

You had asked the Bakugo's if they could take care of your cat if your mother wasn't there and they had agreed wholeheartedly. Even then, you had given your cat an automatic feeder and a mini fountain so he could be fed even if your mother forgot.

You waited a while until she allowed him to finally leave. Izuku waved to her for you before bending down and patting Kinsei goodbye. You stepped outside first, breathing in the air. It was quite nice to finally go somewhere, even if it was for training.

"(Y/n)."

You glanced back at your mother, surprised she had even acknowledged you.

With teary eyes, she said, "Take care."

You stared at her for a moment before nodding. "I will. Thanks, mom."

Her heart twisted. She couldn't believe she was scared of you, her own daughter. She wanted to run to you and cry, beg for forgiveness. However, she smiled.

She'll ask for forgiveness once you returned. For treating you the same when you spoke to her and for being scared of you.

She'll make sure it'll never happen again.

"Goodbye!" Izuku waved before tugging you along with him to school. "We're gonna be late if we don't hurry!"

You signed, rolling your eyes. " I figured. Guess who I called?"

"Huh?"

A black car pulled up, the window rolled down to reveal All Might in his skinny form. "Hello, the Midoriya twins! I am here to take you to school!"

"In All Might's car?!" Izuku squealed like the fanboy he was, hurrying into the passenger seat.

You rolled your eyes, heading into the backseat. You looked around his car, smirking in amusement.

"Hey, you cleaned your car for Izuku, didn't you?"

"W-what are you talking about?" All Might stuttered, coughing out comical blood. You buckled in your seatbelt, grinning with mischief.

"It's obvious you wanted to impress your successor, Uncle Tosh. No need to, I already ruined his image of you."

All Might sulked as he hunched over the wheel while Izuku tried to make him feel better. You stared out the window, watching the passing scenery as a blur. All Might stopped his car in front of U.A., allowing both you and Izuku to get out with your luggages before wishing you both good luck.

As he drove off, you looked up at the U.A. symbol. You were so ready to kick ass.

The bus was loud and chaotic. You found a little bit of comfort in sitting next to Shoto. He didn't try to strike up a conversation, just understood that you were tired and allowed you to sleep on his shoulder.

He minded his own business, staring out the window. It was safe to say that Katsuki wasn't very happy with this arrangement, glaring at Shoto as he eyed where your cheek rested on his shoulder. Katsuki almost stormed up to him, thrown him out of his seat, and slammed your head onto his shoulder but he stopped himself.

That would be ridiculous. He wasn't feeling jealousy. He didn't even like you.

You were a pest he had to squash.

He was able to control himself until the bus had come to a stop in the middle of nowhere. Aizawa told the teenagers to get out of the bus, as they had stopped for a short break. The short purple pervert gladly ran off the bus, searching for the nearest restroom.
