Luka Chapter Thirty-Four

"Thanks for helping me make the picnic Mom," I thank my mom gratefully as we get ready to make the picnic basket for my garden date with (y/n). "Of course Luka, now then shall we get started?" Just as I'm about to nod I hear my phone ring and see it's (y/n). I excuse myself and answer her call. "What's up mon amour?" "Hey, Luka...So our date plan has changed." "What do you mean?" "Alya, Nino, Adrien, Marinette, Manon, and I are waiting for you outside, we're being dragged to the wax museum," She explains sheepishly and I look outside to see a car waiting for us with (y/n) standing outside of it and waves at me.

"Alright then, I'll be out in a second," I tell mom plans had changed last minute, apologize about it and hop in the car soon asking, "How did this turn from a secluded garden date with mon amour to a group outing to the wax museum?" "Alya. She didn't give us much of a choice." "You could've just said no and that you already had plans," I point out and (y/n) gives me a teasing smile as she cupped my face, stating, "Oh my sweet blueberry, you really think if it were that easy we'd be here?" "Guess not," I chuckle before smirking at her. "So I'm a sweet blueberry now?" "Well you're constantly wearing blue down to your hair and you're just as sweet as one," She says poking my nose  Alya suddenly interjects and we both give her a confused look. "What plan?" "To set Adrien and Marinette up, I just know today's the day she's finally gonna spill the beans and they'll become a couple!" She whispered, pulling us into a huddle with Nino and began whispering her plan which consisted of Nino and me talking Marinette up to Adrien before we left them alone.

"Hey! Why are you leaving Marinette all alone? Don't you like her?" Manon suddenly asks, starting an argument between Alya and Marinette about how much was told to Nino. While that was going on I begin whispering to (y/n). "Isn't Adrien dating Kagami?" "Yeah, but they wanted to keep their relationship on the down low to avoid backlash from Adrien's fans so they haven't really told anybody. Though I'm surprised Adrien hasn't told Nino yet considering they've been dating for a few months now," I hum in thought at this, it was a little weird since Adrien liked to tell Nino a lot about what goes on in his life.

Eventually, they stop arguing just as we arrived at the museum and were let in by the museum director Véronique where Manon started to squeal happily about being treated like a princess. (y/n) tries to play along with the joke but Alya pulls her back into the huddle she made to explain the plan. "Be careful this time alright? Marinette's the only one that's gotta spill the beans to Adrien, not us so no matter what Adrien asks you just deny." "Have you considered whether or not Marinette wants to confess her feelings to Adrien or if she's ok with us pushing her to do it?" I ask, considering how freaked out Marinette seemed earlier and I feel (y/n) squeeze my hand gratefully and I squeeze it back.

We walk past some of the statues and Manon runs up to the Jagged Stone one asking for an autograph but when she got no response begins to pout. "Why isn't anyone paying any attention to me today?!" "That's because this isn't the real Jagged Stone, it's a wax statue of him. The Grévin Wax Museum is the kingdom of illusions," Véronique explains to Manon who starts making silly faces at the statue before we continue on Véronique giving us a history lesson about the museum. "The museum opened in 1882, we have about two hundred wax statues at any exhibition at any one time. We bring new celebrities in on a daily basis, the most recent one being Adrien," Once she finishes talking Adrien turns toward me and Nino. "So if I got this right, you and Alya and you and (y/n) wanna spend some alone time together yeah?"

I start to nod my head yes when Nino shakes his head no vigorously as he said, "Not at all, that's not why we came here at all," I give Nino a confused look, that was what I wanted. "Oh, then it's really nice of you guys to come and keep me company." "That's not why we came here at all either!" He denies it again and I facepalm, he was taking Alya's words too much to heart. "Really? So why did you wanna come here then? Did it have something to do with Marinette?" "No, you've got it all wrong dude," Nino nervously smiles and I shake my head, I didn't want any part of this plan so I was keeping quiet.  

"Not with Marinette or with you and even less with you and Marinette alone by yourselves," Nino says before flinching after looking back at Alya, I glance back to see her glaring at him, yep he was talking too much. "I'm confused, Marinette wants to be alone with me?" Adrien asks, scratching his head in confusion and Nino's eye twitches as he looks to me for help but I shake my head mouthing, 'I never agreed to be a part of this'. He continues his lie. "Marinette alone with you? No way dude, you couldn't be farther from the truth, it's the exact opposite actually." "Marinette doesn't wanna be with me..." Adrien says sadly, soon looking back at Marinette who freaks out when they make eye contact and he asks, "Does she hate me?" Nope, she likes you more than a little too much.

"No, no, she likes you a lot- No! I mean yes- I mean barely! She barely likes you a lot so there ya have it." "You sure? I'd be really bummed if I knew Marinette didn't like me..." Adrien trails off and I sigh, deciding to help a little bit. "If you're really that worried about what Marinette thinks of you just ask her and let her know why you were worried otherwise," I exclaim before we all get on the elevator. We enter the workshop and even get a peek at the wax room before the sculptor comes in to set up the process to re-make Adrien's arm as I look at one of the heads and make a comment.  

"These are really well done." "It's genuine yak hair," He sets a timer up and tells Adrien, "It'll ding when it's over, we'll be back as soon as possible," They both leave and we hear Manon let out an excited shriek as Nino spooks her. "My turn! My turn! I wanna play statues too! Marinette let's go play hide and seek and statues in the museum!" Manon starts tugging on Mari who shakes her head. "We can't Manon we came here to keep Adrien company," Alya tells Manon we'll play with her and we leave Adrien and Marinette alone to talk. We follow Manon to the heroes and villains section with a statue of every hero and supervillain. We start looking around for Manon when we come across Lady Wifi, The Bubbler, Silencer, and The Violinist. I notice (y/n) frowning and clenching her fists as she stared at her akumatized form so I reassure her that wasn't really her. "I know but it's still weird to know that I became a supervillain." "You never were, these are statues of all the people Ladybug, (s/n), and Chat Noir have saved," I tell her with a smile and we kiss only stopping when we hear Alya burst out laughing and we watch Nino start to tickle her as she runs out of the room with him chasing her.

I begin to smirk at the idea of tickling (y/n) and she gives me a suspicious look before telling me, "Don't you dare. "Or what?" I challenge her with a quick peck on the lips, stunning her long enough to tickle her while she tried to push my hands away before running off with me chasing her. Somehow like always she manages to lose me and I begin looking for her. After a bit, I still couldn't find her instead I found Alya who was calling out to Nino that she was tired of hiding. "Have you seen Nino?" "No, have you seen (y/n)?" "No, guess we should go find them. Heading back to the hero's room we find Nino standing around and Alya sneaks up to tickle him back when I pull her back. "Alya it's not safe." "What do you mean-" She starts to ask when she sees Lady Wifi, we try to run but are quickly cornered by The Bubbler. "Look out!" I shout, pushing her out of the way of Lady Wifi's attack, causing me to freeze.

I wake up to the miraculous ladybugs fixing everything and quickly meet back up with everyone and finally play along with Manon's joke before we all head home and I ask (y/n) if she'd like to play video games or something. "I'd love to blueberry but there's something I need to take care of at home when we get back. I'll call you later though," Later that night I do get a call where I get told why she had decided to stop being Marinette's friend and I let her know I support her decision a hundred percent.

Author: I forgot to add it last chapter but thank you to Stars_Are_Violet for giving the idea of Luka's nickname: blueberry. I know it's a little late to be giving him a nickname but brain didn't want to cooperate with thinking of a cute nickname for him. Also, since finals are quickly approaching I'm gonna take the rest of the school year off to focus on that, and when I'm home and have my computer all set up I'll finish season 3 including The New York Special which is next. I couldn't figure out when in the timeline it is so I'm putting it where I believe it would fit best to go along with season 4 Ladybug, (s/n), and Chat Noir character arc, and then I'll take the Summer off from publishing like I normally do and come back sometime in August when I'm set up in my apartment and figure out where my writing schedule will fit in with my new schedule.
