Wishmaker: Part 4

"Every child has a dream!"

"Not everyone."

"I'm sure you just forgot. Let me touch you then your childhood dream will be revealed to you," Wishmaker argues, making Chat Noir falter.

"(s/n), push him out of the way!" Vyperion shouts at me.

I send him a quick nod and rush to Chat to push him out of the way but since it took too long to reach him I got hit instead. I look down at myself in excitement as I begin to squeal.

"Yay! I get to be a (childhood dream job)! I'm so happy!" I begin to skip away to do my new job happily-

"Every child has a dream!"

"Not everyone."

"I'm sure you just forgot. Let me touch you then your childhood dream will be revealed to you," Wishmaker argues, making Chat Noir falter.

I rush toward Chat, yelling at him not to do it when Vyperion appears and redirects the shot toward a guy in a red hat. He turns into a giant dino huggie plush who starts to go after Wishmaker with the direction of Ladybug. Once Wishmaker was trapped in a hug Ladybug used her yoyo to snatch the staff and throw it to Chat Noir who cataclysmed it.

"Bye-bye little butterfly," LB gives her usual goodbye after everything settled down, soon turning her attention to Alec presenting him with a black and silver magical charm.

This seems to give him an idea and we head back to the career expo where he puts a wig on his head stating "When I was a kid I just wanted people to be happy so now I'm gonna do what I should've been doing all along: help people. I'm gonna do it with a new TV show, starting with you guys, what are your dreams?"

"Sorry Alec, but when you're a superhero even your dreams have to remain a secret," Ladybug says as her earrings beep when I speak up.

"Let you in on a little secret though one of our dreams is to see the end of Shadowmoth. If you wanna make that dream come true, help people become as happy as they can so they won't become victims to that jerk."

"I can do that," He says with a determined look before we all take off.

I go back to the changing station I was hiding in and I wait for Luka to come get me. It wasn't long before he opened the door, looking relieved to see me there. "Luka! Thank goodness you're ok. Thank you for hiding me."

He sends me a small smile. "It was nothing, you can always count on me."

Mari stepped out of her station while Adrien rounded the corner.

"Phew. It's good to see you guys are ok."

"We're all ok thanks to Ladybug, (s/n), and Chat Noir."

"So Adrien any luck figuring out what you wanna do?" Mari asks and Adrien shakes his head.

"No, but I do have an idea, I think I'll look through my family photos and see if anything sticks out as what my childhood dream was. Maybe if I remember what it was it'll help me decide what I wanna do when I'm older."

"That sounds like a great idea, let us know if there's anything we can do to help!"

Once home Adrien digs up some family albums and looks them over, smiling at the fond memories. Within the third photo album he was looking through he found a whole page filled with images of him and his mother, playing the piano, large smiles on both their faces. Adrien rests his hand on one of the photos with a smile reminiscing the good times.

"I used to have so much playing the piano..."

"You liked to play piano at one point? Hard to believe with how much piano practice you skip unless it's with Kitty Section," Plagg points out.

"Yeah, I did. It was Mom's favorite instrument and she played it so beautifully. I wanted to play just like her so she taught me. I loved playing with her."

"Then why don't you enjoy it anymore."

"My father overheard me playing during one of our lessons. I was telling Mom how I wanted to play forever and she started telling me about how I could if I became a pianist. I told her I wanted to be one then..." He trails off, eyes widening as he realizes he remembered what he wanted to be. "Plagg I remember! I wanted to be a pianist! I remember!" Adrien begins cheering only stopping when he sees Plagg frowning at him.

"But your dad ruined it for you..."

Adrien's face drops. "Yes. He claimed Agreste's play alone and signed me up for professional classes focusing on the same old sad songs and I started disliking playing the piano especially when Mom passed but he still made me play," He soon shakes his head, a smile returning. "But you know what? It's time to stop focusing on the past and start focusing on the future. I'll start by looking into music and see if that's something I'd be interested in. It's time I found my inner music."

At home, I try to help Marinette fill out her career questionnaire.

"You know what? I've decided I'm gonna do it all. I'll be Ladybug, designing clothes, jewelry, furniture, and anything else that interests me!"

"But how will you do it all at the same time?" Fluff asks, scratching her head.

"Easy. She can start up her own company, and become an entrepreneur that way you can do what you want and try new things," I explain and she nods.

"Yes! That's exactly what I'll do," She begins filling out her form when my attention turns to Alec's new show playing on Mari's PC.

"Welcome to Live Your Childhood Dream where everyone loves one another. Starting with everyone loving themselves because how can you love other people if you don't love yourself?"

Author: That was fun on to the juicier chapter though, writing Luka's reaction is gonna be fun~
