Luka Chapter Thirty-Six

I hum a tune while I bike to my next delivery and continue to hum it as I deliver the food and continue my deliveries. I finally figured out how to finish the tune on my second-to-last delivery. "That's it! I got it! Gotta go, enjoy your meal," I tell the customer and head to the Dupain-Cheng bakery, when I get there Marinette and (y/n) are exiting with some boxes, and Marinette trips, dropping the boxes which I quickly catch. "Hey blueberry, what are you doing here?" "I've been thinking about you." "When are you not thinking about me?" She teases me with a smirk and I tease her back. 

"Never, you're just too cute and amazing to not think about. I think I finally found your melody at last. The tune that matches you completely. Wanna hear it?" She nods and I grab my guitar that was sitting in the basket of my bike and start playing the melody and I can't help but smile to see that adorable blush. "What do you think?" "It's...Incredible and beyond sweet." "Hmm it's still not quite right, I can do better," Marinette's phone rings and she confirms with her dad they're on their way so I offer them a ride to the hotel where I'm asked if I wanna join them in the party. "Yeah in a minute, I've got one last delivery around the corner to make." "Ok, see you in a bit," (y/n) kisses me which I return and peddle off to make my last delivery. Two minutes later and I find (y/n) at the buffet table and make my way over, slipping my hand in hers and I say hi to Kagami and Adrien. They grab some trays with Marinette and we all head into the kitchen to drop them off.

I watch Kagami and Adrien grab some ladles and start fencing when I notice Marinette watching them sadly; I recall (y/n) explaining Marinette's situation so I tell her "That's what a healthy relationship looks like, both of them are happy and don't try to control each other. If you really love him Marinette you'd be happy he's happy for them even if it's not what you wanted," Before Marinette can respond I feel myself being poked by something and turn around to see (y/n) had poked me with a spatula. "Engarde," She challenges me and I accept, grabbing my own weapon for us to play fight.

We don't get very far when the door slams open as Adrien's bodyguard walks in, Adrien and Kagami drop behind the kitchen island while the rest of us stare at the bodyguard. "Can I help you with something?" Marinette asks and he leaves, Adrien and Kagami soon poking their heads up. "Thanks." "Anytime, I better get going, my parents are expecting-" Marinette starts to leave when Adrien stops her. "Wait, escape with us." "Please? It'll be fun," Kagami chimes in and she agrees. Grabbing some boxes we all hide under them and sneak out of the kitchen, soon booking it when the bodyguard spots us. We manage to outrun him to the stairway and block the door with our boxes and escape to the roof and grabbing each other's hands we jump into the pool filled with foam balls to hide from the bodyguard.

"Being disobedient is really entertaining. I've never had so much fun in my life," Kagami exclaims and (y/n) asks "Are you kidding?" "No, why?" While Kagami was busy answering the question (y/n) grabs a ball and throws it at her face, laughing. "No reason." "You should've seen your face Kagami," Adrien laughs soon getting a ball thrown at him. It wasn't long before we were all throwing balls at each other and laughing when Kagami goes under and pulls down Marinette.

They both soon come back up, Marinette's hair ties had come out, her ebony hair flowing down just a little bit past her shoulders and Adrien comments about how that's the first time he's seen her hair down and how pretty it is. Marinette looks for her hair ties and Adrien starts to play the piano after climbing out of the pool. He couldn't even finish the song he was playing when we hear the elevator ding and we all quickly hide underneath the piano and watch as the bodyguard emerges and looks around for us. Quickly Marinette grabs a candle and shoots it in the opposite direction of us with her hair tie causing the bodyguard to check out the noise and we escape from the hotel, only stopping at a bench when we've run out of breath. "I think we're far away enough now," Adrien huffs and I ask "Is this ok? Aren't you gonna get in trouble with your parents?" "Possibly but it's not every day we get to escape from their expectations."
