Penalteam: Part 3

"Chat Noir just scored an own goal now that's what you call a cat-tastrophe!"

"But I scored not her!" Chat argues and Carapace explains why he's in the wrong.

"You scored against your own team. You're supposed to put the ball into the net she's guarding."

Chat nods in understanding before continuing the game, Penalty making goal after goal, and some of our players had to use their powers to avoid being touched. (I just realized Pegasus could've just used his teleportation to get everyone out of the bubble lol) By halftime, we were losing twelve to nothing.

"No one uses their power anymore. It's too risky if you get caught and imprisoned. Go recharge your kwamiis and transform back," Ladybug instructs, and when everyone returns she apologizes. "I'm sorry, I've been a bad captain and played a solo game. I forgot that we were a team and I need all of you so we're gonna play together and bring all of our individual strengths together onto the field."

We start talking about a game plan deciding on a 4-3-3 formation, and letting others have a chance with the ball, Roosterbolt soon makes a scoring shot, giving more room for the people stuck in the floating soccer balls. We kept using this strategy against Penalty which in turn kept earning us points till we were tied with thirty seconds left in the game.

"Use your power and shoot as hard as you can Minotaurox!" LB yells and he activates resistance, cancelling Penalty's red card cleats. 

One hard kick later and we won thirteen to twelve. 

"I think we've earned our trophy."

"Wrong, the game isn't over," Penalty sneers at us and we watch as the playing field enlarges yet again, and the game time turns into an infinity symbol. 

"But that's not fair!" Chat complains

"It doesn't have to be, it's MY soccer game I can do whatever I want!" Penalty yells throwing a red card at him.

Instinctively he summons Cataclysm, saving him from that red card but not the other five being sent his way.

"Chat Noir has been hit! In five minutes he'll transform back and reveal his secret identity unless our heroes can find a way to get their hands on the akuma!"

We're given a short time out to figure out what we're gonna do, Ladybug looking up at the hostages in the sky before turning her attention to us.

"LUCKY CHARM!" She's given a board to draw a game plan on. "Ok, we'll keep playing but we can't win, she'll never let us, and the ribbon is out of reach so the only way to end this is if Madelyn rejects the akuma herself. Meaning we have five minutes to make the Penalteam despise playing soccer so much that she'll quit the game."

"Ok but how?" I ask, voicing everybody's thoughts.

"By making her realize she can't win. We'll be a team of invincible superheroes, using our powers indefinitely without ever transforming back."

"But that's impossible. From day one we've been told if we use our powers we'll transform back in five minutes," Lady Abeille points out.

"True but we can make the Penalteam think otherwise thanks to Caprikid's power."

Everyone looks at Caprikid who explains his power. "I could make a magic want to give the illusion we can use our powers indefinitely but all I can actually make is the wand, not give it the magic powers we need."

"Also true but Penalty doesn't have to know that," LB says with a smirk.
