You're The Music That's Been Playing In My Head: Book 3

Strikeback: Part 2

While we try to mediate the damage Spikey is doing Ladybug comes back with Carapace, Ryuko, Purple Tigress, Lady Abeille, Polymouse, Roosterbolt, King Monkey, and Minotaurox. 

"Guys that Froggy kid still isn't getting it," We hear Rena say through our earpieces and look to see him riding his bike toward the villain.

"Seriously? Let's go guys,  Lady Abeille immobilize the villain!" Ladybug instructs as we head toward the scene.

Ladybug tackles Froggy out of the way and we all watch in confusion as Venom doesn't work so Purple Tigress tries to use Clout and again nothing happens.

"What is this guy's deal?" I ask as Polymouse uses her powers to help Purple Tigress, and  Lady Abeille escape. 

"Strikeback!" Strikeback shouts as two more appear now with the ability of Venom, Clout, and Multitude.

"Shoot he can copy powers," I warn and we're all instructed not to use our powers against him.

Retreat to city hall now!"

We all meet back up at city hall when Strikeback picks up the abandoned Ferris Wheel and uses Clout to throw it at us.

"WIND DRAGON!" Ryuko shouts, using her wind to redirect the Ferris Wheel at Montparnasse Tower.

"RENA!" Carapace shouts, shooting Shelter at Rena's location, giving her away.

Rena Rouge?" Everyone asks, looking at Carapace, Ladybug, Chat, and me glaring sternly toward the tower and she explains.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't keep it from him."

"We'll talk about it later," LB tells her, turning her attention to Froggy who had begun singing at us in a mocking tone. "Ok, that's enough out of you. You're putting us all in danger."

"I'm good with kids, I've got this," Chat says, taking the kid elsewhere when Rena speaks.

"Guys, everyone's got a mark in the shape of a frog's foot on their necks."

"What?" We ask in unison, our hands flying to our necks as she explains everyone has it when suddenly Chat Noir comes flying and hits the wall.

"When Froggy's near, there's nothing to fear. Risk is my name and you're all so-" Risk mocks with a grin when Chat interrupts.

"Blind. We were blind. Strikeback is a sentimonster and he's not all we're dealing with an akumatized kid."

"That's why we're being so careless, it's him that's making us take all these risks. Chat de-transform. Until I've de-akumatized him I can't leave him with your Cataclysm it's too risky. Actually you too (s/n) you've been really violent today and I don't want you to go too far," Ladybug instructs us before giving her orders to the rest of the team.

"What? But we can help..." Chat asks in disbelief.

"Come on, Ladybug doesn't get to control what we do let's go show Strikeback who's boss," I say, scratching my neck before heading toward one with Chat.

We begin fighting one of the Strikebacks and I pour all my anger from today into my attacks which seem to do nothing which only angers me more when a bus slams against me and Chat, trapping us against a wall.

"CATACLYSM!"  Before he could touch the bus Strikeback steals his power and begins causing destruction.

"Nice going! You were told not to use your powers we could've gotten out of this without them, now push!" I scold him angrily and he yells back.

"You were told not to do anything either so I don't wanna hear it."

We escaped and met back up with the others though there was no sign of Ladybug as Strikeback caused more chaos with nothing we could do to stop him. It didn't stop me from attacking Strikeback as if he were Shadowmoth, especially when Luka entered the scene wanting to help and almost got hurt if I didn't get him out of the way.

"Come on! I'm not scared of you! You wanna try hurting the man I love, I'll hurt you 20x more!" I challenge Strikeback, dodging an attack before hitting him with my knives. 

Landing on a nearby roof I get ready for another attack when the magical ladybugs fly by me and I realize how risky it was to attack Strikeback with all his powers and that I've been letting my anger control me.

"Actually I think I'm gonna go, it was fun hanging out with you though," I say sarcastically as I hop away and back to the team as Ladybug gives Froggy his stuffy back with a magical charm.

"Let's all go recharge before dealing with these sentimonsters," Ladybug instructs and we all scatter to do that.
