Guiltrip: Part 1

It was currently study hall in Ms. Bustier's class so we could work on the project we'd been assigned. I was working in a group with Juleka and Rose when Rose suddenly winced and gained Ms. Bustier's attention. "Ms. Bustier? May I go to the nurse's office? Miss. Heady is back," Juleka and I frown in slight worry as Ms. Bustier nods and asks Marinette to take her. "Don't worry I'll be able to get my portion done," Rose reassures us before heading out. She was gone for the rest of the class, it was lunch now, and still no sign of her.

I sit with Juleka to try and cheer her up, her face soon lights up when Rose's ringtone goes off. It was short-lived as her face dropped and she pushed her tray away. Before I could ask what happened Marinette approaches and makes a joke. "Juleka, if you skip Mr. Mealy, your big, tasty, energy-packed lunch, Miss. Heady might visit you next," Juleka starts to cry and she runs off as I hiss at Marinette "Not cool," I get she didn't know about Rose's illness but still.

We both chase after her into the courtyard where we look around, she has just vanished. We continue looking for her when Mari bumps into Adrien. "Sorry Adrien, didn't mean to bump into you. Have you seen Juleka? She ran out of the cafeteria crying." He looks around soon pointing at the open basement door. "Maybe she's in there?"

The three of us enter in quietly, Mari trips over her own feet as usual and falls into Adrien's arms, an embarrassed blush creeping onto her face while he just smiles. "Sorry, guess I'm really worried that I said something to upset her." "The things you say don't always make sense sometimes but you're never mean, we'll get to the bottom of this," Adrien reassures her as we continue, soon hearing Juleka crying around the corner.

Adrien and I approach first as he asks "Is everything ok?" "I just wanna be alone," We nod in understanding when my phone goes off, it's a message from Marinette. I really hope she didn't just tell everyone where we found her, I love everyone but we're all just a bit too nosy for our own good. "I'm sorry if I said something to upset you Juleka, I thought it'd make you laugh since Rose talks like that." "It's not you, it's Rose," Juleka mumbles and I grow worried as I squeeze her hand reassuringly asking "What happened with Rose?" "She's just resting in the nurse's office from a headache she's fine," Marinette says but Juleka shakes her head. "Juleka you're our friend and you can confide in us, I promise we won't tell anyone else."

She shows us the text from Rose: A selfie of her in a hospital bed with a text saying she had gone to get a quick check-up. Does that mean that Nurse Sissy saw signs of her illness showing up again? "She's in the hospital?!" The guys ask in shocked unison and I sigh in annoyance as Juleka tells everyone about Rose's illness and how it can come back and that she promised not to say anything. "Please don't tell her I said anything." "Don't worry Juleka, we won't and you don't have to worry about us treating her differently either," Adrien reassures her and everyone joins in on agreement with that before we pull her in for a group hug.
